and criminals. have been seized.

From January l, 2023, lo June 30, 2024, convictions

were secured in 6.792 cases related to crimes against

women and minors. Under the POCSO Acl. 16 cases

resulted in capital punishment. 429 cases led lo life

imprisonment, 1,633 cases had sentences exceeding I()

years. and 2.057 cases received sentences of less than

lOycars.

Establishment of 126 new police stations, 86 new

outposts, 4 water police Outposts, 78 women police

outpost counseling units. 75 anti-power theft police

station. 10 vigilance police stations. 4 economic

Uttar Pradesh is the second largest economy in the

country, contributing 9.2 percent to national income.

GSDP increased to around 25.48 lakh crones in the

financial year 2023-24. GSDP is estimated to be more

than 32 lakh crones at the end of the current financial

year.

Banking facilities are being provided in the state

through 3,13,942 banking centres, including 20036

branches of banks (including Regional Rural Banks),

2.74997 Bank Mitra and Certified BC Sakhis, and

18909 ATMs.

Uttar Pradesh is the second largest slate in the country
