Abstract
This report provides a concise overview of the internship conducted at Acharya Tulsi
Diagnostic Centre from January 7th, 2024, to January 25th, 2024. Throughout this period,
valuable experience was acquired across three key departments: Biochemistry, Hematology,
and Serology.
In the Biochemistry department, I worked extensively with the Ebra Chem 7 analyser, a semi-
automatic machine. This experience provided me with valuable insights into metabolic
processes, organ function assessment and the interpretation of biochemical markers.
In the Hematology department, I worked with the Ebra Hematology Analyzer, an automatic
machine. This experience allowed me to familiarize myself with blood cell analysis
techniques, including the assessment of red and white blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels
and platelets counts. Working with this advanced technology equipped me with essential
skills for accurately diagnosing blood-related disorders.
In the Serology department, I utilized ready-made kits for detecting antibodies and antigens
in blood serum. This pratical experience enabled me to understand the principles of
serological testing and its significance in diagnosing infectious disease, autoimmune
conditions and allergies.
