WORKING INDEPENDENTLY
1.1INTRODUCTION
We human being are social animals, and we are nothing without others. Right
from our childhood, we have been taught about having team-spirit, the art of
working in teams, and so on. Having the quality of being a team-player is indeed
excellent quality. However, in life, not all the occasions and situations demand a
team-work. Many conditions require that one must be able to handle the
situation on one’s own and work independently.

In this session, we shall discuss the very small quality, i.e. working independently
and what all it takes to work independently.

1.2 INDEPENDENT WORKING


Some scenarios require independent working such as self-learning, understanding
and grasping a concept, doing self-regulated research working on an independent
project and so on. Important things about independent working are:-
• You take full responsibility of the work.
• You take the ownership of it, i.e. you make yourself accountable for it.
• You are ready to under supervised work, i.e. you do not require
constant.
