The Poland work visa is a Polish national (long-term) visa that allows non-EU citizens to work in Poland.
Before applying for a work visa, you need to know about which work permit you should apply for. The
types of Poland work permits are:
Work Permit A: It is required if you have a job offer from a business registered in Poland. This
work permit is given to you under the condition that you will obtain a valid residence permit.
Work Permit B: This permit is required if you are employed as a board member and will be
residing in Poland for a period exceeding six months.
Work Permit C: If you are delegated to Poland by a foreign employer for longer than 30 days to
work for their Polish branch.
Work Permit D: If a foreign employer delegates you to Poland to work in export services. The
foreign employer must not have a Polish branch.
Work Permit S: This permit is required if a foreign employer sends you to Poland for
agricultural, hunting, fishing, or accommodation activities.
If you plan to start working in Poland, a Polish employer needs to apply for a work permit on your behalf
at the local Voivodeship office (Governor’s Office in Poland). The employer must submit documents,

Poland Work Permit Validity The validity of your work permit depends on the employment contract
given to you by the employer. If for example, your employer wants to employ you for two years, then
your residence and work permits will be valid for that time.
Poland Work Visa Requirements
1. A visa application form filled via the e-konsulat system, printed and signed.
2. A 3.5 x 4.5 cm colour photo. The photo must be:
a. sharp, taken against white background and printed on a quality paper,
b. newer than 6 months,
c. Taken en face, clearly showing the eyes and face on both sides from the top of the head to the top of
the shoulders with the face covering 70-80% of the photo. The photo must be taken without any
headwear.
3. Passport issued within last ten years, valid for at least three months from the expected return date, with
at least two blank pages for visas.
4. A copy of the passport page with personal data and the photo.
5. Copy of flight ticket or flight reservation including return flight.
6. Travel medical insurance with an insurance amount of no less than EUR 30,000 must be valid for the
period of the intended stay of the foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland, cover all expenses
that may arise during the stay in this territory due to the necessity of return travel for medical reasons,
the need for urgent assistance medical, emergency hospital treatment or with death, in which the
insurer undertakes to cover the costs of healthcare services provided to the insured directly to the entity
providing such benefits, on the basis of a bill issued by this entity.
7. A copy of an ID document to confirm legal residence within the consular district of your application.
8. Proof that you have enough means of subsistence in the form decided by the mission.
9. A proof of accommodation (for example, an official invitation or a hotel booking or reservation).
10. Documents confirming the purpose of your stay Poland. That is-

13. Written evidence of contact with the potential employee, verification of his skills, etc .
14. Evidence of the qualifications of the applicant (proof of employment in a given industry, career,
certificates, diplomas, etc.).
15. Any other documents required for the specific job (permits, authorizations, licenses, etc.).
16. Hotel booking or other written proof of accommodation; applicants intending to live with family or
friends, or being sponsored by Polish / EU citizens in any other way, are required to submit an invitation
registered in the Voivodeship Office.
17. Documents regarding the family situation of the applicant (marriage / birth certificates).
Once you receive authorization to work in Poland, you can then apply for a work visa from the Polish
Embassy in your country. This visa will allow you to travel to Poland for work purposes and then apply
for a temporary or permanent residence permit. To apply for a Poland work visa, you need to follow
these steps:
1. Locate the nearest Polish Embassy or Consulate. You can determine which embassy to apply to
through the e-Konsulat website (the Polish consular services website), as well as complete an
application form.
2. Make a visa appointment. You can set up an appointment through the e-Konsulat website or by
contacting the embassy or consulate directly. Make sure you set up an appointment sufficiently in
advance.
3. Collect the required documents.
4. Submit the application. On the date of your appointment, you have to show up on time, submit
the required documents, and (if required) attend a visa interview.
The Polish work visa is only valid for three months, during which you have to apply for a
residence permit for you to stay longer.
