GENERAL RULES
• All the participants must be full time Bonafide students of their respective institutions.
• Each participant is required to bring their I-card issued by their respective college, a
photocopy of the same I-card as well as the latest paid college fee receipt. In case of
unavailability of any of the above-mentioned documents, they are required to bring a
Bonafide certificate, with their photograph and college’s principal/ dean/ registrar/
director seal (half on photograph and half on certificate).
• All participants must be physically fit to participate in their respective sports, and not
be suffering from any underlying medical conditions. By participating in the event, you
agree that the Sports Office is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or death
during, before or after the event.
• All participants must agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the game, including
sportsmanship and fair play.

Disciplinary Guidelines
ii) Damaging the host Institute’s infrastructure will be severely dealt with which may
amount to, but not limited to, disqualifying the player/players from the event. The
expenses shall be borne by the player/players. Also, a complaint will be lodged by
the host team Institute’s authorities against said student/group of students with
their home Institution. In addition, misbehavior of any sort with female
players/spectators will be dealt with most severity.
• It is mandatory for all the participants to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of
Ahmedabad University.

• Each game will consist of 3 sets of 11 points each with service changing sides every 2
points in a game. Semi-finals and finals to be a best of 5 sets in each match.
• Each player can play max 1 single and 1 doubles match.
• A maximum of 6 men from each team will be allowed to participate in a match.
• The team winning a greater number of games will be declared as the winner of the
match.
• NOTE: In case of tie between 2 teams, the no. of matches won (net of losses) would
be considered. If it's still the same, then head-to-head result would be considered.
• 'Dead rubbers' will not be played in the interests of paucity of time to organize
remaining events in the meet.
• The order of players proposed to play games will have to be pre-decided and
submitted to the Organizing Committee before the beginning of the match and
cannot be changed thereafter.
• Nobody would be allowed to play with a dead rubber racket.
• In case of injury or incapacity to play occurs during a game, no replacement will be
allowed, and if the player refuses to play (retires hurt), the game will be deemed won
by the opponent. Also, the player will be counted as having played that game.
• Each team can take a maximum of 1 time out during a game.
• Teams are expected to bring their own Table-Tennis bats.
• The referee's decisions will be final and abiding.
• If the referee feels the player's service is not meeting the requirements of the game,
a warning will be given first. If the referee calls foul for subsequent services, the point
u given to the opposite team.

Check List of the Event
• All entries must be sent in a team entry form attached in the mail.
• All teams must follow the rules for each sport to enter their teams for competition.
• All competing teams must report at the match venue not later than 30 minutes in
advance.
• Last day of Registration is 4th February 2024.
