Dear Readers
Last three decades have been very significant as far as
the impact of Technology on Society is concerned. Ability
to send information of any type, anywhere, and anytime
has altered the way societies live and transact their
businesses, be it education, production of goods, selling of
goods, entertainment, managing house hold, education,
information transaction between individuals, individual to
masses, health care, governance etc. Every aspect of social
order is getting affected, this is only the beginning of
changes in a Technology driven Society. What technology
holds for the Society is any one’s guess? Some of the
scientists and thinkers have tried to predict what science
and technology holds for us, say by 2030. Michio Kaku
(Great Physicist of our time) expresses in his book ‘Physics
of the Future’ and video lecture ‘The world in 2030’ (You
Tube), a glimpse of technology driven society and our role
in it. This is just decade plus away.
To stay relevant as an engineer, or as a the department during the current academic year. I
technologist, or as a scientist in tomorrow’s society hope they value their time and utilize departmental

effective utilization of four years for any student facilities optimally. Department has been accredited

Webinar on Short Term Training Program (STTP)
“Internet of Things (IOT)”
This event was organized on 8th May ,2020 by
E.C.E Department, ITS Engineering College and the
Dr .Monika Jain was the Event coordinator and Ms.
.Apurva Thakur was the facilitators.

Our Speaker Mr. Shubham Aggarwal (Co-founder

and Business Head Cnetic Labs, Delhi.) Mr.
Shubham Aggarwal is R&D engineer as well as a
freelancer. He is the co-founder and Business
Head Cnetic Labs, New Delhi. His areas of interest
include Robotics, Aero-Modelling, Internet of
Things, Embedded Systems etc. Mr. Aggarwal
explained that Internet of Things (IOT) is a
network of physical objects embedded electronics,
software, sensors and network connectivity which
enables these objects to collect and exchange data
.
Industry Expert Webinar by Dr. Kaushik Saha (CTO, Samsung-
R&D Institute India)Topic: “Issues In Deep submicron VLSI
This event was organized on 8 May ,2020
th
Design"
Dr.Saha explained students how, deep submicron
VLSI Design technology deals with scaling of
CMOS circuits into deep submicron region. In
deep submicron design the circuit is very dense
and connections are very close. Proceeding
through the session Dr. Saha explained how the
size of the transistor reduces to 70 percent as
the time increases. He also discussed how the
speed of devices can be increased through scaling.
He explained about snap dragon transistors that
area widely used in Samsung products. Dr. Saha
further made students aware regarding the
career opportunities available in VLSI industry
Webinar on “CAREER AFTER ENGINEERING”
This event was organized on 11th May ,2020

Mr. Ritesh Jain interacted with the students and

following key points were addressed

· Importance of Time and how to effectively

manage Time.(Specially during this COVID-19
lockdown period)

· Find out your unique signature strength.

· Check about present world scenario for career.

· Match your strength and decide that whether

you want to go with entrepreneurship or
Government job or corporate job.
International Webinar on “Smart Electrification Strategies for
Future Autonomous Modes of E-Transportation”
On May 13, 2020, Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering, I.T.S. Engineering College
organized an International Webinar on“Smart Electrification
Strategies for Future Autonomous Modes of E-
Transportation”.The talk was delivered by the eminent speaker
Dr.Sheldon S. Williamson, Prof.&Canada Research Chair,
Ontario Tech University, Canada.I.T.S.E.C.

This webinar was very informative as the students were able to

know about the new ideas in very demanding E- transportation
technology. As we all are aware that the driverless, autonomous
electrified means of micro-mobility already bring progressive
lifestyle changes to the civilization. These includes: E-bikes,
drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, scooters, and skateboards
etc.
“E- Workshop on MATLAB”
On May 15, 2020, Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering, I.T.S. Engineering College
organized an International” “E- Workshop on MATLAB”.

.E- Workshop on MATLAB is an academia knowledge sharing

initiative taken by Electronics and Communication
Department, I.T.S. Engineering College Greater Noida. The
primary objective of this programme was to
update/enhance the skills of engineering. The talk has
shaded light on how MATLAB helps to take your ideas
beyond the desktop. The practical has been performed
online to demonstrate program, run for analyses on larger
data sets, and scale up to clusters and clouds. The E-
workshop has given exposure to the participants about the
MATLAB codes, which can be integrated with other
languages, enabling you to deploy algorithms and
applications within web, enterprise, and production
systems.
“Classification of objects using Deep Networks”

On May 18, 2020, Department of Electronics and

Communication Engineering, I.T.S. Engineering College
organized webinar on most demanding topic
“Classification of objects using Deep Networks”. The
webinar was conducted by Dr. Dinesh K. Vishwakarma
Associate Professor, Department of Information
Technology, Delhi Technological University
Dr.Dinesh K. Vishwakarma has given various example
related to the ANN & Deep Learning, shown some
practical concept about deep learning like object
recognition .Object classification is a general term to
describe a collection of related computer vision tasks
that involve classifying objects in digital photographs.
The Image classification consists in predicting the
class of one object in an image.
Webinar on Imagined Speech: An upcoming development
in Brain Computer Interface (BCI)
On May 28, 2020, e-YantraLab (An Embedded
Systems & Robotics Setup Initiative of IIT-
Bombay),ECE Department .

Dr. Yash VardhanVarshney provided information

about the possibilities in the field of Brain
Computer Interface (BCI),which provides a direct
connection from the human brain to a computer.
BCIs translate brain activity into control signals
for numerous applications, including tools to help
severely disabled users communicate and improve
their quality of life. He explained about the
existing and current issues handled by experts of
the field with some of his own research
experience.

VIRTUAL REALITY (VR)
People are now a days focusing on VR on the web, talking about handsets and games and how VR is
consumed, people seem less talking about how VR is made, I think that’s more fascinating. VR is one of the
finest platform to be creative on that’s why I love VR.

VR is most popular on entertainment industry specifically and how it can be filming live-action even more
specific. The answer is JAUNT. It is the forefront company introducing this great medium. JAUNT had
given special effects of lights, camera and audio to more than 300 movies including TRANSFORMERS,
STARS WARS, HARRY POTTER,AVATAR etc. There is a specialized equipment needed to shoot 360°
covering all sides,

So JAUNT build their own super 360° gear, naming JAUNT 1 with 24 cameras a complete 3D view,
multiple lense pointed towards a same direction with their field of view overlapping. Next, audio was a
great challenge so they used a TetraMic (made with 4 mics) determining sound from all sides and sync it
up with camera view. Your ear channels will pick the idea according to your head movements. VR directors
use obstacle around you as extras or hide them or they put some extra sound or theme to draw your
attention. One of the best real time experience one can have. VRs have also been used in the field of
eating disorders and obesity, mainly for the treatment of body image disturbances. one of the best and
entertaining technology for the welfare!
