1.1Outline
SKD1709 is a high-density IP to analog RF platform that carry 32 non-adjacent channels in a
2U box. Browser based user interface facilitate system setup and maintenance efficiency. This
outstanding modulator system consume much less power than other competitors, eventually
reduce operating cost and extend life cycle.

Chapter 3 Web NMS Management

This is literally how you manage the device via web, how you do the advanced settings.
Notice: 1. Please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to login the system!!!!!
2. Please make sure your computer is in the same IP segment as the modulator is.

3.1 Login
The factory default address is 192.168.2.68 and users can connect the device and web NMS
through this IP address. The Username and Password are both user.
Connect the PC and the device with an ethernet cable, and use ping command to confirm they
are on the same network segment. For instance, the SKD1709’s login IP address is 192.168.2.68,
we then change your PC’s local IP to 192.168.2.xxx (xxx can be 0 to 255 except 68 to avoid IP
conflict). Launch the web browser and input the 192.168.2.68 in the browser’s address bar and
press Enter.
It will display the login interface as shown in below picture. Input the Username and Password,
and then click “Login” to start the device management.

When we login the device successfully, we will enter the homepage, namely the System Status
page, in which we can check the device ID, name, hardware and software version and so on.

Device ID: it is unique for each device.

Device Name: display the device name SKD1709, you can modify it on the System
Parameters—Basic Parameters if you need.
Hardware/Software Version: here we can check the device software version, when you update
the latest firmware version, the software version will be changed accordingly.
Device Model: displays the device’s modulation model. The SKD1709 can support the DK, DI, BG
and NTSC.
Run time: displays the device’s running time in total.

On the following table, it lists the ethernet port and card’s link status.

3.2 Input Param

On the page, we can add the IP stream and analysis/Forward the program.
Src-IP:

From the menu on top, click this button, it will display the following interface.

Here you can choose the Unicast or Multicast mode according to your own signal source.
Unicast Mode
IP Address: it can’t be modified. It needs to make your signal source’s IP address the same as this
IP address.
Port: it is 50000 by default. You can change it according to your own demand.
Step: let it be default “1”.
Count: the programs quantities can only be 1-63.

After you finish the above parameters, click Submit to apply and save the modification. Then you
will get the following page:

Multicast Mode：

IP Address: type your signal source’s IP address, such as 239.1.1.100.

Port: the port is 50000 by default. It depends on your signal source device.
Step: let it be default “1”
Count: the programs quantities can only be 1-63.

After you finish the above parameters, click Save Changes to apply and save the modification.
Then you will get the following page:

: If you want to remove the programs that you added before, first tick the square
before the NO., then click
to delete it.

: If you want to change the programs’ IP Address, first change the IP Address as
you want in the IP Address, then tick the Square and click the Submit button.

Analysis/Forward:
When you finish adding the signal source programs by unicast or multicast, then go to the
Analysis/Forward page by choosing the button on the top menu, then click Analysis button to
analyze the IP stream. Normally, it will successfully analyze the program and pop out the tips as
followed picture:

On the program list, first choose the Output Channel according to you demand, then click the
Forward to forward the program to the TV.

3.3 Output Param

On the Output Param page, you can change the frequency adjust mode, namely Manual Input
and Setting from the list.
With Manual Input mode, you can change the frequency (MHz) within the Value Range:
48.25—855.25.
With Setting from the list mode, you can only choose the frequency from the preset list.

Channel enable: choose to enable the channel and cancel to disable the channel
Attenuation (dB): you can adjust the RF Level, the value range is 0-20, and increase by 1 step.
Volume: you can adjust the program volume in case the TV’s volume is too silent.
Video ratio: here you can choose the video display mode according to your demand. We support
4:3LB, 4:3PS, 16:9 and FULL SCREEN.

3.4 System Parameters

Basic Parameters:

On the Basic Parameters page, you can change the Device Name, Enable/Disable Cloud net
connection.

Click Network Parameters, it will display the interface shown in followed picture where to set the
network parameters.

IP Address
The default IP is 192.168.1.30. And it is adaptable.
Subnet Mask
The default one is 255.255.255.0. And it is adaptable.
Default Gateway
Setting the gateway.
Primary DNS
The default one is 8.8.8.8 And it is adaptable.
Secondary DNS
The default one is 202.96.134.133 And it is adaptable.
MAC
We suggest users don’t change it.

Account:
In the Account page, users can set the login username and password for the web NMS.
When you set a new username and password, it needs you login the NMS with new account.

System Parameters:

Upgrade system from file

Upgrade the IPQAM with the latest firmware version.
Restore to factory settings
All settings will go back to the factory settings.
Reboot
Restart the device.
Export Settings
You can back up your settings by clicking Backup button, and import to another modulator. Or if
the modulator doesn’t work, you can send the backup file to us for modification.
Import Settings
You can import the setting file to save time or import the right one to recover.
Click the ‹Browse› button below and import the restore file, and then click the Restore button
to restore the device. The device will automatically restart, when the restore is completed.
