• The defect classification based on DIN 55350-31 (1985-12) is set out in the following
table.
• All characteristics must be monitored by suitable means such that the chance of an
unpermitted change in the characteristic is kept technically as small as possible.
• Testing methods that differ from the examples quoted in this document are
permitted, provided that they lead to comparable results.
• Proof of product quality must cover at least the characteristics printed marked with *.
• The defect classification may differ as long as the parties concerned are in
agreement.
