Both 2 Hi and 4 Hi configurations should be assembled in single Housing for respective rolling.

System Configuration:

The rolling mill should consist of the following major equipment/sub-assemblies/accessories:

Rolling mill stand Designed to accommodate rolls with bearing supporting chocks either in 2Hi
configurations or in 4 Hi configurations.
Drive gearbox Designed to transmit drive from an motor to mill rolls.
Electric motor DC motor with reversing duty to generate rolling torque at mill rolls at
desired speed.
Electrical controls Digital AC converters to supply power to motor in a protected manner.
Material feeding Roller Entry guiding plates are provided for easy rolling.
Operator control station To be located near mill location with all control elements for operator to
control all rolling operations.
Heating furnace An electrically operated muffle furnace is to be provided for hot rolling.
Temperature 1300 deg C
Temperature A pyrometer is to be provided for temperature measurement during hot
measurement rolling.
PC Processor : i7 or better Operating system : Microsoft Windows 11
Professional or above
Memory : 16 GB or better

Safety Controls - All safety parameters (Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic) should
be provided with emergency stops.
- Proper safety training should be provided during installation.
Warranty Minimum 3 years from the date of Installation

Pre-bid Qualification

1. Vendors must have provided 3-4 similar systems to (centrally funded research institutes)
IITs/NITs/Central Government research labs or any other institutes of national importance in the
last 5 years. The feedback from those institutes should be positive and should provide contact
details.
2. Equipment offered must be a model from the current serial production range of the
manufacturer. Customized or One-off Manufactured Models will not be accepted. Offer should
be supported with printed catalog & depiction on the company website.
3. Bidders should be the manufacturer/authorized dealer. Letter of Authorization from original
equipment manufacturer (OEM) on the same and specific to the tender should be enclosed.
4. Non-compliance of tender terms, non-submission of required documents, lack of clarity of the
specification, the contradiction between bidder specification and supporting documents etc. may
lead to rejection of the bid.
5. Manufacturers are requested to provide an ISO certificate and Declaration on CE Conformity
with a minimum of 3 valid directives. (The certificates need to be uploaded/submitted in the
Statutory Cover.)
6. Suppliers should mention the details of service setup and manpower who are responsible for
after sales support, and response time should be less than 72 hrs.
