I chose this study because inflation directly impacts students' daily lives and educational
opportunities, and I wanted to explore practical solutions to help students navigate financial
challenges while pursuing their education.
the purpose of your study is to investigate how inflation impacts students' finances and daily
expenses, particularly focusing on how students from different socioeconomic backgrounds
manage their educational costs and resources during periods of economic instability.
the major problem of your study is how inflation impacts students' financial well-being and
academic performance, particularly how rising prices of goods and services create financial
challenges for students at General Licerio Topacio National High School, especially those
from low-income families.
this study was conducted to explore how inflation affects students financial stability and
daily expenses. As inflation continues to rise, students face increasingly impact their
academic performance, mental well being, and overall quality of life.
we chose to conduct this study because inflation has become a growing concern that affects
people worldwide, especially students.
Quantitative research collects numerical data that can be statistically analyzed to test
hypotheses and identify patterns, often using larger sample sizes and structured methods
like surveys. Qualitative research, on the other hand, gathers non-numerical data through
methods like interviews or observations to understand meanings, experiences, and
perspectives in depth, typically working with smaller samples to explore complex
phenomena.
For this study, the primary tool we used is a survey questionnaire, this questionnaire is
designed to gather quantitative data on student’s financial habits, and challenges they face
due to inflation. It includes multiple choices questions for quick responses.
How does inflation affect students' daily expenses, such as transportation, food, and
school supplies, in the Philippines?
Inflation leads to higher prices for essential goods and services, which significantly impacts
students. Many students rely on allowances from their parents, which may not increase in
proportion to inflation. As a result, they may struggle to afford necessities like transportation
(jeepney and bus fares), food, and school supplies. This can lead to budget adjustments,
such as skipping meals, walking instead of commuting, or delaying the purchase of
academic materials.
Why is the topic students instead of other people who are also affected by
inflation?
Students are not always being addressed by the public even though they are also affected
by inflation. This study would raise awareness that students are also struggling to manage
their finances because of inflation
Based on your research document, your sampling method is stated as: "The researcher will
use Random Sampling to randomly select 100 Grade 10 Licerians from General Licerio
Topacio National High School." This means you'll be selecting participants randomly from the
Grade 10 population to ensure an unbiased representation for your study on inflation's
impact on students' financial well-being and academic performance.
In this study, we will be employing Random Sampling to select 100 Grade 10 Licerians as our
participants. This method ensures that each student has an equal chance of being chosen,
which enhances the fairness and reliability of our sample. To uphold ethical research
practices, we will strictly adhere to the Data Privacy Act of 2012. This means that all
participant information will be handled with the utmost care. The participants' responses will
be properly managed to ensure their personal data remains secure.
All collected information will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of this study.
Furthermore, we will ensure that participants' identities remain anonymous, and no personal
details will be revealed at any stage of the research.
By following these protocols, we aim to maintain the integrity of our research and protect
the rights and privacy of all participants.
