2024-25
Alumni Messages
It fills me with immense pride and gratitude to share my journey as an alumnus of
Parala Maharaja Engineering College. My time at PMEC from 2009 to 2013 was
more than just an academic phase—it was a transformative experience that shaped
my perspective, ignited my curiosity, and laid the foundation for my career.
After graduating from PMEC, I pursued my MTech in Machine Design at
VSSUT Burla, where I gained deeper insights into the design and innovation aspects
of engineering. Later, my journey took me to IIT Kharagpur, where I specialized in
Acoustics during my PhD. This phase of rigorous research and exploration was
Dr. Chinmayi Mahapatra instrumental in helping me understand the nuances of sound and vibrations, a field
Alumni, Batch 2009–2013 that continues to captivate me to this day. Today, as an Acoustic Research Engineer
at Saint Gobain Research India, I am privileged to work on developing solutions that
enhance acoustic comfort and sustainability in modern living and working spaces.
To the current students of PMEC, I want to share this simple thought: your
time here is a golden opportunity to explore, learn, and challenge yourself. The
knowledge you gain in the classroom is important, but the mindset you develop—the
ability to approach problems with creativity, resilience, and an open mind—is what
will truly set you apart. Remember, growth happens when you step out of your
comfort zone and dare to innovate.
The journey of an engineer is one of continuous learning. Never stop
questioning, experimenting, and dreaming big. Whether you choose to pursue higher
education, dive into industry, or chart your own unique path, stay committed to your
passion and let your curiosity lead the way.
PMEC will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am forever
grateful to this institution for being the launchpad of my journey. Wishing each of you
great success and fulfillment in all your endeavors. The future is yours to shape.

A decade has been passed still those memories are the treasures that are lowed deep
within our hearts. Day-1 in college was still a nightmare to our batch as the college
was still in the construction phase. At the last day of the college, life was also a
nightmare as most of the batchmates was still clueless about their careers.
However, persistence and perseverance are the keys which kept our minds in
this competitive world. Learning is a key skill everyone must adapt in their life, no
matter whatever the circumstances are. I am very happy at this moment when I come
to know about my batchmates excelling in their lives. I am also happy that my college
has taught me something. i.e, to never give up which keeps me motivating till date. T DHARANIDHAR
As a proud PMECIAN, I can say that during the last decade, It was a Alumni, Batch 2009-13
privilege to me to work with the country's top Maharatna Companies i.e, BHEL &
REC. I wish my seniors will also keep the learning attitude as their hobby & achieve
greater heights.
