Tree Planting Activity

I. RATIONALE
Deforestation and environmental degradation continue to pose significant challenges globally, leading to
loss of biodiversity, climate change, and reduced air quality. A tree planting activity is a proactive
initiative to combat these issues by restoring green spaces, increasing carbon sequestration, and
improving the overall health of ecosystems. This program aims to encourage environmental stewardship
and community involvement in sustainable practices.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. General Objective:
- To promote environmental sustainability through reforestation and restoration of degraded land.
2. Specific Objectives:
- To plant native tree species suitable for the local environment.
- To raise awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change and conserving
biodiversity.
- To foster community participation in environmental conservation efforts.
- To enhance the aesthetic and ecological value of the community or selected area.

III. PARTICIPANTS
Volunteers:

- Community residents
Beneficiaries:
- Local community members and the environment.

V.BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS
An amount of Five Thousand Pesos (₱5,000), chargeable to SK funds, will be allocated to
cover the following expenses:

I. RESPONSIBILITY

The conduct of the activity shall be the responsibility of the Sangguinang Kabataan.
