PSO and AMBF

PSO = Percentage of Site Occupancy (expressed as %)

AMBF = Allowable Maximum Building Footprint (expressed as area ‐ sq.m)
© Ar. Rafael Gatus. 2019
PSO and AMBF
Different methods in solving for AMBF:
• AMBF using the PSO base on Table VII.1
AMBFVII.1 = TLA x PSO

• AMBF using the PSO base on Table VIII.1

AMBFVIII.1 = TLA x PSO

• AMBF using the setbacks base on given data, Table VIII.2 (Residential), or
Table VIII.3 (Other Use)
AMBFGIVEN/VIII.2/VIII.3 = TLA – total area of setbacks

• AMBF using the percentage of TOSL base on Table VIII.G.6

BUILDING HEIGHT LIMIT

BUILDING HEIGHT LIMIT expressed in Number of Floor/Storey or BHLnF is

used in calculating for the TGFA
TGFA = BHLnF x AMBF

while BUILDING HEIGHT LIMIT expressed in Meters or BHLm is used in

calculating for the AMVB
AMVB = BHLm x AMBF

BHL shall be generally measured from the established grade line to the
topmost portion of the proposed building/structure.

BHL excludes the height of permitted/allowed projections above the roof of

the building/structure, e.g., signage, mast, antenna, telecom tower,
beacons, and the like.
