Narrative Report: Brigada Eskwela 2024

The first day of Brigada Eskwela 2024 at


Sirawan National High School marked a vibrant
beginning to the annual community-driven
event aimed at preparing the school for the
upcoming academic year. The event was
graced by various stakeholders, including
parents, teachers, students, local government
officials, and community members, all united in
their commitment to improving the school
environment.

Recorida Activity and Caravan

The day commenced with a lively "Recorida"


activity—a traditional Filipino practice
involving a motorcade or caravan around the
community. The school's faculty, staff, and
student leaders from the Supreme Student
Government (SSG) participated in this
activity. They distributed flyers and
informational materials to the Sirawan
community, promoting the importance of
Brigada Eskwela and encouraging community
members to participate in the school's
cleaning and preparation activities.

The caravan, adorned with colorful


banners and posters, traveled through the
main streets of Sirawan, garnering
attention and support from local residents.
The distribution of flyers served as a vital
outreach effort, ensuring that the
community was well-informed and
engaged in the school's initiatives.

Opening Program
Following the Recorida activity, the opening program of
Brigada Eskwela 2024 was held at the Sirawan National
High School conference room. The program was attended
by key stakeholders, including the Parent-Teacher
Association (PTA) representatives, SSG officers, teachers,
and invited guests. The atmosphere was filled with
enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose.
The program began with an invocation, followed by the
singing of the national anthem. The school principal
delivered a welcome address, highlighting the
significance of Brigada Eskwela as a collaborative effort to provide a
conducive learning environment for students. The principal also expressed
gratitude to all the participants and supporters for their unwavering
dedication.
Pledge of Commitment

A highlight of the opening program was the


Pledge of Commitment, led by a selected
representative from the PTA, SSLG, and
teaching staff. All attendees were invited to
stand and join in the pledge, symbolizing
their collective dedication to the success of
Brigada Eskwela and the overall
improvement of the school. The pledge
emphasized key values such as teamwork,
responsibility, and community involvement.
It was a powerful moment, reaffirming the shared goal of creating a safe,
clean, and inspiring environment for students.

Campus Cleaning and Preparation

With the opening program concluded,


participants quickly transitioned into the hands-
on aspect of the day—cleaning and preparing
the school campus. Armed with brooms, mops,
and cleaning supplies, volunteers spread out
across the school grounds. Tasks included
sweeping classrooms, cleaning windows,
painting walls, and landscaping the gardens.
The school grounds echoed with the sounds of
teamwork and collaboration as volunteers of all
ages worked together.

2ND Day of Brigada Eskwela

On the second day of Brigada Eskwela 2024


at Sirawan National High School, a new
group from the Sirawan community joined
the ongoing efforts, bringing fresh energy
and enthusiasm to the initiative. The day
was primarily focused on enhancing the
school's outdoor environment. Volunteers
engaged in cleaning the school grounds, trimming trees, and clearing debris
from the surrounding forested areas. This comprehensive cleanup aimed to
not only beautify the campus but also ensure safety and accessibility for
students and staff. The participation of
different community members highlighted
the collective commitment to providing a
clean and well-maintained learning
environment, showcasing the unity and
cooperation within the Sirawan community.
The day's activities were a testament to the power of collective action in
achieving significant improvements in the school's facilities.

3RD Day of Brigada Eskwela On the third day of Brigada Eskwela 2024 at
Sirawan National High School, parents and
stakeholders joined the school staff to clean and
organize the campus. They focused on cleaning
classrooms, offices,

and the school grounds. In the classrooms, volunteers swept and mopped the floors,
cleaned the windows, and arranged the furniture. In the offices, they organized
documents and cleaned the workspaces. Outside, they continued to tidy the
grounds and remove waste. The efforts of everyone involved made the school
cleaner and ready for the new school year. This teamwork showed the strong
support and commitment of the community to the school.

4TH Day Brigada Eskwela

On the fourth day of Brigada Eskwela 2024 at


Sirawan National High School, the focus was
on cleaning the school grounds and further

beautifying the campus. Volunteers worked


on cutting the grass behind the De Guzman
building and
trimming the trees to make the area safer and more
attractive. Meanwhile, other groups continued
cleaning the classrooms and the entire gym area,
ensuring all spaces were tidy and ready for use. The
dedicated efforts of everyone involved made a
significant difference, helping to create a welcoming
and well-maintained environment for the upcoming
school year.

5th Day of Brigada Eskwela

On the fifth day of Brigada Eskwela 2024 at


Sirawan National High School, the school received
generous donations from stakeholders, including
paint, paintbrushes, and cleaning materials.
These contributions were put to immediate use as
volunteers painted various parts of the school,
freshening up walls and structures. The cleaning
efforts focused on specific areas, including the
clinic, canteen, Senior High School (SHS) building
grounds, and the memorial site area of the school. Volunteers worked
diligently to clean and organize these spaces, ensuring they were in top
condition for students and staff. The combined efforts of everyone involved,
along with the valuable donations, made the day a success and significantly
improved the school's facilities.

6th Day of Brigada Eskwela


On July 26, 2024, the sixth day of Brigada Eskwela
at Sirawan National High School concluded with a

Central College's NSTP program, led by Ma'am Precy Peniones, participated


in cleaning the campus, helping with tasks like sweeping and organizing
various areas.
In addition, the Bureau of Fire Protection joined the cleaning efforts,
contributing their manpower and expertise to ensure the school grounds
were thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Their involvement added a
valuable touch of community spirit to the day's activities.
After the cleaning, the closing program was
held with stakeholders, including the Bureau of
Fire Protection, teachers, parents, and
students. Certificates of appreciation were
presented to acknowledge the hard work and
contributions of everyone involved. The event
celebrated the collective efforts in improving
the school environment and fostered a strong
sense of community and accomplishment.
