Browse Window
When the KMC Online Parts Manual opens you will be directed to the Browse window. The Browse window is
used to view equipment Parts Manual.

Download (No Parts Manual Open)

Use the Download menu to download specific books to your

computer, view the current books you already have downloaded to your computer, or download the apps required
to view downloaded books on your local computer.

Download Books
This feature allows users to download a local copy of the KMC Parts Manual.

LinkOne Parts Manuals incorporates a LinkOne security feature that limits access to these manuals. If
you are not a KMC employee, and you downloaded a book for a KMC P&H product, you will need a
Security Key to view your book. To request a security key for your book, send an email to KMC Product
Support at support@joyglobal.com. Type the word “keys” as the first word in the subject line. In the body
of the email please provide the following information:

• Name
• Company Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Model of Equipment

• Serial Number of Equipment

Left-clicking returns you to the Browse window.

Use the View By: radial buttons or to view the manuals you have access to either by
their geographical location or by product line.

Use the or buttons to navigate through the equipment manual tree to select the individual Parts Book or
multiple Parts Books you would like to download. Any Parts Book marked with an empty will not be
downloaded. Any Parts Book marked with a selected (checked) will be downloaded.

Groups of Parts Books marked with a shaded indicates some, but not all, of the Parts Books in that group have
been selected for download. If the is not shaded, all of the Parts Books in that group have been selected for
download.

Once you have all of the books you want to download selected left click on to start the download process or
to clear your selections and start over. Clicking on opens the following message:

Thank you for using book download. Your book(s) will now be available offline using WinView. You will receive an
email detailing how to install the book(s). Left-click on to return to the
Browse Window.

You will receive an initial email informing you that your books have been queued for download. Then you will
receive another email when your request is complete.

My Book Downloads
Selecting My Book Downloads will open your browser to a list of books you have downloaded. Use the menu to
filter your download activity by date.

Use the button to download the book to your computer.

Use the to refresh the list if a download initially shows up as Not Complete. Refreshing the list will let
you know when it is ready for download.

Download Apps

Downloading the LinkOne Viewer allows you to view any LinkOne books you have downloaded to your local
computer.

Downloading the SAP Visual Enterprise Viewer allows you to see and interact with some 3D content that may be
available in our Parts Manuals and some other products provided by KMC.

Downloading and Installing the LinkOne Viewer

Downloading and installing the LinkOne Viewer will allow you to view books you have downloaded once you
install them. To download the LinkOne Viewer, under Download Apps, left-click on LinkOne Viewer.

Select Save. The LinkOne Viewer will download to your Download folder or wherever you have your browser set
to download automatically.

Access the LinkOne Viewer.zip file you just downloaded and extract the files. Right-click on the LinkOne
Viewer.zip file and select Extract All…

If you extract the files in the same download folder it will create another folder called LinkOne Viewer in the
download folder.

Inside the LinkOne Viewer folder you will find the following files:

Quantity of and Names of files may vary as documentation is updated and/or versions of the LinkOne
Viewer change.

Right-click the WinView###.exe file and select Open. (Above graphic shows WinView522.exe as the current
version, as of the authoring of this document. This version may vary based on updates provided by the
developer.)

You may be required to enter an administrative account to install software on your computer. If you do
not have an administrative account you may be required to see IT assistance to install this software.

This will start the install process. On the Welcome window left-click Next.

Review the LinkOne Software and Support Service Agreement then select that you accept the terms in the license
agreement then left-click Next.

Enter your name and the name of your organization. Select Anyone who uses this computer (all users) for Installing
this application for. Left-click on Next.

Select Typical installation.

That completes the Installation Wizard. Left-click on Install to begin the installation.

Installation will take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the type of computer you are
installing it on. When the installation wizard completes you will see this window. Left-click on Finish to complete the
installation.

Install License

Now that the LinkOne Viewer is installed we need to install your license. To do this click on your Windows icon or
Windows Start button and navigate to the LinkOne Viewer you just installed. Open the LinkOne Viewer.

When the LinkOne Viewer launches, close the Select Book Window.

In the top menu bar, select Tools then Configuration from the drop down menu.

This opens the Configuration window. In the tree on the left select Licenses.

Left-click on the button to open the Add License window.

Left-click on the button then navigate to where you extracted the LinkOne Viewer to on your
computer. Find and select the file named JoyGlobal.linkonelicense. Select this file and left-click on Open. This will
enter the License Code information.

Left-click on the OK button.

Install Key

While you are still in the Configuration window you can now install your key. Left-click on the button to open the
Add License window.

Left-click on the button then navigate to where you extracted the LinkOne Viewer to on your
computer. Change the file type drop down menu to All Files (*.*).

This will show all of the files in the download folder. Find and select the file named JoyGlobal.Key.

Turning On Superseded Entries

Komatsu Mining Corp. Parts Books use superseded entries. To see those entries you need to make sure that
Show Superseded Entries is turned on.

If the LinkOne Viewer is not already open, open it. The LinkOne Viewer will open to the Select Book Window. If
the LinkOne Viewer is already open but not to the Select Book Window, left-click the Browse icon from the top
menu bar.

On the Select Book Window, make sure the Show Superseded Entries check box is selected as shown above.

Allow Selection of Entries

The Allow Selection of Entries, checked by default, allows you to add items to a selection list in the LinkOne
Viewer.

Use the Download menu to download the Parts Manual you are viewing to your computer, download specific
books to your computer, view the current books you already have downloaded to your computer, or download the
apps required to view downloaded books on your local computer.

Download Current Book

Use the Download Current Book link to download the current Parts Book you have open.

Left-click on to start the Parts Book download. Left-click on to cancel the process.

Downloading the Book to Your Computer

When you receive the email with the download link, left-click on the link to download the book you requested.

Left-clicking the link will open your browser and require you to login to the KMC Online Parts Manual if you are not
already logged in.

Once logged in you will be asked what you want to do with the file. Left click on Save.

The book will download to your Download folder or wherever you have your browser set to download
automatically.

You may also select Save as and download the book to a location of your choice.

Installing a Book KMC Online Parts Manual Download and Install

Installing a Book
Access the Book file you just downloaded and extract the files. Right-click on the Book File.zip file and select
Extract All… (In the example we downloaded above the book file was named 460aa5d8-bed9-2a8a-
8676be232ead.zip.)

If you extract the files in the same download folder it will create another folder of the same name as the .ZIP folder
you just extracted.

Inside this folder will be a books folder and JGI.BookInstaller.EXE executable file.

Right-click the JGI.BookInstaller.EXE file and select Open from the menu that appears.

The JGI.BookInstaller.EXE file is programmed to find where you have books installed and automatically install this
new downloaded book in the correct directory.

Left-click on and allow the installer to install the book. This should take less
than 30 seconds to complete. You will receive a Books have been installed message when complete.

Left-click on the button. This will close both Book Installer windows.

Opening the Book You Just Installed

Now that the Parts Book is downloaded and installed, open the LinkOne Viewer to view the book.

The LinkOne Viewer will open to the Select Book window. Select the book you just downloaded then left-click on
Open.
