The Life of Dolphins

Dolphins are intelligent and friendly sea animals. They

live in oceans and some rivers around the world.
Dolphins are mammals, not fish. This means they need
to come to the surface to breathe air.

Dolphins are very social animals. They live in groups

called pods, which can have from five to hundreds of
dolphins. They communicate with each other using
clicks, whistles, and body movements.

One of the most amazing things about dolphins is their

ability to echolocate. This means they send out sounds,
and when the sound waves hit an object, they bounce
back. This helps dolphins understand where things are,
even in dark or deep water.

Dolphins love to play! They jump out of the water, ride

the waves, and sometimes even play with seaweed.
They are also known to help injured dolphins and
sometimes even humans.

Sadly, dolphins face dangers like pollution, fishing nets,

and climate change. Many organizations work to protect
them and keep the oceans clean.
