Writing

1. Write a paragraph (160-180 words) about the person you admire the most

I would like to discuss about General Vo Nguyen Giap, a renowned military

leader in Vietnam who greatly impacted the nation's history. Born on August

25, 1911, in Quang Binh province, General Giap joined the Communist Party

of Vietnam at the young age of 16 in 1927, paving the way for his lifelong

dedication to revolutionary ideals. He played a crucial role in the resistance

against both French and American forces, leading the Vietnamese army in

key military operations such as the Dien Bien Phu campaign and the Ho Chi

Minh campaign along Truong Son Road. General Giap is particularly

celebrated for his leadership in the Dien Bien Phu campaign of 1954, which

effectively ended French colonial rule in Vietnam. Additionally, during the

two-decade-long struggle against the United States, his strategic military

planning was instrumental in countering U.S. tactics during the "local war" in

the South and the destructive warfare in North Vietnam. General Giap passed

away in Hanoi in 2013, yet his legacy continues to resonate deeply in

Vietnam's history.

2. Write an essay of 180 words to express your opinions about the topic: we

should preserve our cultural diversity

Cultural diversity serves as the cornerstone of human history, influencing our

identities, beliefs, and artistic expressions. In my view, the preservation of

cultural diversity is becoming increasingly important in today's globalized

world.

To begin with, preserving culture reflects and shapes the values, beliefs, and

aspirations of a community, while also playing a crucial role in defining

national identity. When skills and knowledge are transmitted from one

generation to the next, individuals can better understand and establish their

own identities.

Secondly, maintaining cultural diversity not only deepens our connection to

our roots but also provides insight into the reasons behind our current

realities.

Lastly, cultural diversity is a rich source of creativity and innovation, as it

combines different perspectives that inspire new ideas.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that protecting cultural identity is essential for

unlocking the creative potential of diverse communities. In summary, I

strongly believe that by preserving our traditions, languages, and customs, we

not only pay tribute to our history but also enhance our future. Cultural

diversity promotes empathy, tolerance, and creativity, contributing to a

vibrant and resilient society.

3. Is it important to:

a. Preserving cultural heritage

In my opinion, in an era characterized by rapid globalization and technological

advancements, the preservation of cultural heritage has become increasingly vital

for several reasons. Firstly, cultural heritage preservation is critical for maintaining

a sense of identity. By preserving our cultural heritage, we ensure that future

generations can understand, explore, fostering a strong cultural identity that

contributes to a more harmonious society. Secondly, preserving cultural heritage is

crucial for educational purposes. Educational programs that incorporate elements of

cultural heritage can help students learn about their history, values, and traditions.

Finally, cultural heritage preservation can also have significant economic benefits.

Cultural heritage sites and landmarks are frequently popular tourist destinations,

attracting visitors from all over the world while also generating revenue for local

communities. In conclusion, in our rapidly changing world, the preservation of

cultural heritage is extremely important. It nurtures a sense of identity, educates

future generations, and enhances cultural diversity.

b. living green

In my opinion, I think it is vital to go green, and it actually has lots of benefits.

Firstly, living green helps reduce environmental pollution. This is done by

practising the 3Rs. The first R means choosing products very carefully to reduce
waste as much as possible. Reusing involves the repeated use of items. The third R

is about recycled materials and later used for a new purpose. Secondly, there are

also economic benefits to living green. Reducing the use of energy and water can

help save money on household bills. Using recycled products also last longer than

new ones, making them a better and more eco-friendly option. Finally, going green

offers health benefits. It reduces air pollutants by making the air we breathe cleaner

and healthier. This means fewer diseases and doctor's appointments. In conclusion,

living green can be highly beneficial for us as it can help preserve the environment

and make the entire planet sustainable.

4. How:

a. living green

Living a green lifestyle is becoming increasingly important as we face the

challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. These are some ways

to adapt green living style. Firstly, choosing sustainable transportation options such

as walking, biking, or public transport over driving alone can significantly lower

your carbon footprint. Secondly, minimize waste by embracing the "reduce, reuse,

recycle" mantra: reduce consumption, reuse items whenever possible, and recycle

materials properly. Avoiding single-use plastics and composting food scraps are

also crucial. Finally, focus on reducing energy consumption. This not only lowers

your carbon footprint, contributing to mitigating climate change, but also saves you
money on energy bills. In short, by incorporating these practices, we can all

contribute to a healthier planet, conserve valuable resources, and create a more

sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.

b. have a future job

Getting a good job in the future takes more than just hoping for the best; it requires

planning and effort. It's about finding a job that fits your skills and interests, not just

any job. This involves a few key steps: First, figure out what you're good at and

what you enjoy doing, then research jobs that match those things. Second, get the

right training or education, like a degree, certificate, or online course, to learn the

necessary skills. Thirdly, get some real-world experience through internships,

volunteering, or part-time jobs. Finally, practice important skills like

communicating clearly and working well with others. Staying up-to-date on what's

happening in your chosen field is also important. By focusing on these areas, you'll

greatly improve your chances of landing a great job.

c. preserve cultural heritage

Our cultural heritage - it connects us to our past, shapes our present, and influences

our future. That's why preserving it is so important. First, we need to document

everything: write down stories, make copies of important papers, and take photos or

videos of historical places and objects. This creates a record for the future. Second,

we need to maintain physical things like old buildings, artwork, and artifacts by

repairing and protecting them. Third, we need to teach people, especially young
people, about our culture and traditions so they can carry them on. Finally, we need

laws and rules to protect cultural heritage from being destroyed or stolen. By doing

all these things, we can make sure our cultural heritage stays alive for many years to

come.
