Freja II in brief

The Freja II is a powerful recorder family which is capable of producing high quality video/audio recordings.

Freja II Digital Video Recorders

Freja II Digital Video Recorder
The Freja II Digital Video Recorder is a 64GB digital video recording
device, capable of recording high quality audio and video.
The built-in battery compartment can hold 2 x AAA cell batteries,
which provide up to 7.5 hours of continuous video and audio recording.
This makes the Freja II Digital Video Recorder ideal for concealed body-
worn applications in combination with e.g. the buttonhole camera.
By using one of the many different trigger options, the operational
time can be stretched even further, as a recording only will be initiated
once the trigger is activated. This is especially handy when used in
long-term installations.
All files are stored on the internal 64GB storage as standard AVI files
and are compatible with the Spectronic WaveChecker II software,
which detects whether or not the files recorded with the video recorder
have subsequently been modified. Evidence verification is secured
through a AES encrypted SHA-1 watermark stamped on the files
once recorded. Both audio and video files are also compatible with
Microsoft® Media Player for video (AVI files) or audio playback (WAVE
files).

Freja II Mini Digital Video Recorder

The Freja II Mini Recorder is identical to the Freja II Recorder, but is
easier to conceal due to its small size. The Freja II Mini Recorder can
be powered by a Freja battery pack, via a Micro Mains Module or a DC
voltage source from 6 - 48V via the DC-DC converter.

Freja Board Digital Video Recorder

The Freja Board is a small, lightweight, flexible printed circuit board
(PCB) version of the Freja II Video Recorder, especially engineered and
designed for custom installation and easy integration into numerous
custom made concealments.
Using the available connectors for flex and Freja cameras and solder
pads for the connection of custom power connectors, microphones,
triggers and line-out, the Freja Board offers the same features as
enclosed Freja Video Recorders.

Freja cameras
Freja HD Low-Light Camera
The Freja HD Low-Light Camera is a widescreen resolution camera
that records video with a resolution up to 1280 x 720 pixels at 15fps.
A unique feature for the camera is the high dynamic range, which
means that the camera is able to capture both the brightest and
darkest areas of a scene without losing detail.
Available in a kit with interchangeable lenses including buttonhole,
pinhole, and tele lens in both color and b/w.

Freja HD Camera
The Freja HD camera can record video with a resolution up to 1280
x1024 pixels at 10 frames per second. The Freja HD camera is
available as a color camera with either pinhole or buttonhole lens.
This makes the camera especially handy in body-worn applications or
concealed installations where high video quality is important.
Available with buttonhole lens and pinhole lens.

Freja VGA Low-Light Camera

The Freja low-light camera records video with a resolution of 640x480
at up to 30 frames per second. The low-light camera is more versatile
than the HD camera, as it is available with three different lenses
(buttonhole, pinhole, and tele), which are available both as color and
black & white. The black & white lenses have no IR filter, which allow
the use of an IR lamp to illuminate dark environments.
Available with buttonhole lens, pinhole lens, and tele lens.

Freja VGA Ultra Low-Light Camera

The Freja ultra low-light camera is ideal for applications where very
little or no light is present. The camera sensitivity is twelve times
better than the HD camera and two times better than the low light
camera, which means that the camera is able to produce a picture
under very poor lighting conditions. A unique feature for the ultra low-
light camera is the interchangeable lenses. This enables the user to
choose the specific lens best suited for the operation at hand.
Available in a kit with interchangeable lenses including buttonhole
lens, pinhole lens, and tele lens in both color and b/w.

Freja VGA Low-Light Flex Camera

The Freja Low Light Flex Camera is a very small VGA camera only
measuring 16 x 14 x 8mm / 0.63 x 0.55 x 0.31in. The camera is
intended for use with the Freja Board video recorder, for specially
built concealments.

Freja camera and lens kits

Freja Flexible Alignment Kit
The Freja Flexible Aligment Kit consists of either a Freja HD Low-Light
or a Freja VGA Ultra Low-Light camera, and a set of 5 custom designed
Pinhole Lenses from Claresys Ltd.
The lenses are designed to be relatively insensitive to misalignment
in the pinhole and can be pulled up to 8mm back from the face of
the pinhole to ease installations and reduce the risk of detection by
conventional means.
The kit consists of 5 lenses with focal lengths from 4.8mm to 29mm.

Freja Wide Angle Pinhole Kit

The Freja Wide Angle Pinhole Kit consists of either a Freja HD Low-Light
or a Freja VGA Ultra Low-Light camera, and a custom designed Wide
Angled Pinhole Lens from Claresys Ltd.
The lens is designed to provide a 120 degree field of view giving almost
complete room coverage through a 1mm pinhole. The lens can be
pulled up to 2mm back from the face of the pinhole, and in addition
the lens is slightly insensitive to misalignments in the pinhole, making
installations much easier with a reduced risk of detection.

Freja Angled Pinhole Kit

The Freja Angled Pinhole Kit consists of either a Freja HD Low-Light or
a Freja VGA Ultra Low-Light camera, and a custom designed Angled
Pinhole Lens from Claresys Ltd.
The lens is designed to be installed behind a 1.2mm pinhole, from
which it can be pulled up to 2mm back, to reduce risk of detection. The
lens provides a 30 degree field of view at a 45 degree viewing angle.
This provides the ability to select an area of interest within a 360
degree arc at 45 degrees from the pinhole face.

Freja Compact Telephoto Kit

The Freja Compact Telephoto Kit consists of either a Freja HD Low-Light
or a Freja VGA Ultra Low-Light camera, and a set of 3 custom designed
Mid-Range Telephoto lenses from Claresys Ltd.
The lenses are designed to be easy to conceal while providing a mid-
range telephoto functionality with a fixed focal length for use in covert
surveillance situations in urban or rural areas.
The kit consists of 3 lenses with focal lengths from 70mm to 150mm.

Freja camera lenses

Buttonhole lens
The Freja buttonhole lens is ideal for concealed body-worn
applications, as the camera resembles a normal button. A camera
with buttonhole lens is delivered with a selection of different buttons,
providing you with the option to customize the camera to fit in with
the clothes used for the operation.

Pinhole lens
The Freja pinhole lens is useful for concealed video surveillance.
Requiring only a very small view hole, the lens and camera are easily
concealed in objects or behind surfaces.

Freja Low-Light Camera with pinhole lens

Tele lens
The Freja tele lens is ideal for surveillance operations requiring
a certain distance from the target. The lens provides the same
enlargement as a 200mm zoom lens (35mm equivalent), but is still
small in size.

Cables
Freja II Lemo Microphone Cable
The Freja II LEMO Microphone Cable enables a simple usage of the
Freja II Video Recorder for body worn usage, where external microphone
with LEMO connector can be connected to the Freja.

Freja II Slide Switch Cable

The Freja II Slide Switch Cable enables easy on/off control of Freja
II Video Recorders. The switch is operable with only one finger and
its compact size makes it easy to hide in e.g. a sleeve for body worn
usage.
The Freja II Slide Switch Cable has a cable that directly connects it to
Freja II Video Recorders.

Freja II Multi-Cable, Trigger and Microphone

The Freja II Trigger Multi-Cable is a simplified version of the Freja
II Complete Multi-Cable, providing only one cable set and external
microphones. The available cable set allows for an external trigger
input, and can be connected to e.g. a slide switch or other types of NO/
NC triggers.

Freja II Multi-Cable, Slide Switch, Power and Microphone

The Freja II Slide Switch, Power & Microphone Multi-Cable is ideal
for body-worn use as it contains a LEMO connector for external
microphones, slide switch for easy on/off control, and a cable set for
external power for extended operational time.

Freja II Multi-Cable, Complete

The Freja II Complete Multi-Cable provides a total of five cable sets
for external power, external trigger, voltage trigger, relay control and
audio line-out. Furthermore, Freja II Complete Multi-Cable has a
sensor trigger input for RCM or PIR and a LEMO connector for external
microphones.

Accessories
PIR sensor
The Passive Infra-Red (PIR) sensor is a pyroelectric device that detects
motion by measuring changes in the infra-red (heat) levels emitted by
surrounding objects. When motion is detected, the PIR sensor triggers
a recording if the Freja and Freja Mini digital video recorders are
configured to receive the trigger.

IR lamp
The Infra-Red (IR) lamp is intended to illuminate environments
with very low light when using a black & white camera. The IR lamp
requires a separate power supply. The power requirement is 10 to 24V
DC. A typical employment scenario includes using the Freja digital
video recorder in a vehicle with little or no light. The IR Lamp may be
powered by a 12V car adaptor kit or any other hidden 12V supply.

Analogue Camera Adaptor

The Analogue to Digital (A/D) Camera Adaptor is designed to allow
users to use their existing inventory of analogue cameras with the
Freja Digital Video Recorder.

Camera splitter-cable
The camera splitter-cable allows users to connect two cameras to the
Freja digital video recorder. The camera splitter cable can both be
used to connect two identical cameras, or a combination of HD, low
light and ultra low light cameras. The camera splitter cable is Kevlar®
K49 reinforced and with military grade connectors.

Accessories
Camera extension cable
The camera extension cables can be used in conjunction with the Freja
cameras, enabling users to place the cameras even further away from
the recorder.

Geo trigger and location

Freja Geo Trigger
The Freja Geo Trigger is a small GPS device which tracks where the
Freja video recorder has been while recording and afterwards display it
on a map. It is also possible to do live tracking via InterCom in a Freja
set-up.

In addition, the Freja Geo Trigger can also be used to set up a geo
fence acting as a trigger for when the Freja should start recording.

Remote control options

Our range of easy-to-use remote control products is designed to deploy stealthy on/off control. Combined with the Remote Control Module (RCM),
the Freja video recorders can be switched On / Off with the X-IDER 4096 or the INCA GM Keyfob.

Remote Control Module

The Remote Control Module (RCM) is a miniature receiver which can be
used for on/off control of the Freja digital video recorder when used in
conjunction with a multi-cable with sensor trigger.
By employing the RCM with the Freja II digital video recorder,
recordings can be started and stopped either via the GM keyfob or the
X-IDER 4096 remote control.

GM keyfob remote control

The GM keyfob remote control is a short range remote control, and can
typically be used within a distance of 5-10 meters / 6- 33 feet. When
coded with the RCM code for a RCM connected to a Freja II digital
video recorder, the keyfob can be used to start and stop recordings.

X-IDER 4096
X-IDER 4096 High Power
The X-IDER 4096 is a powerful, professional remote control system
for multi-purpose remote control tasks of Spectronic equipment
and systems. It runs on a standard 9V battery and is very simple to
operate. Enter the RCM code on the RCM connected to the Freja II
digital video recorder, and the X-IDER 4096 can be used to start and
stop recordings.
X-IDER 4096

X-IDER 4096 High Power

The X-IDER 4096 High Power is a 5W remote control system that allows
for a greater operational distance to the installed remote controllable
equipment than the standard X-IDER 4096 remote control.

External power options

Freja II Mini battery kit
The Freja II Mini battery kit consists of three different battery packs
including charger and other needed accessories. The three batteries
included supplies with capacities of 2500mAh, 4500mAh and
9000mAh.

Micro Mains Module (MMM)

The MMM family is a series of micro-size power supplies functioning
as alternative power sources to batteries. They are designed for
long-term installations and the small physical size and modular
shape makes them easy to conceal into almost any light source or
other electrical appliances. The micro power supplies are designed
to withstand shock, vibration, and humidity assuring perfect
functionality even under poor conditions.

DC/DC converter
The DC/DC converter is used in conjunction with the Freja II digital video
recorder to supply the recorder with power from a DC voltage source
other than 5V. The converter transforms DC voltages from 6 - 48V to 5V,
allowing users to connect the video recorder to e.g. a car battery.
