PROJECT PROPOSAL

1. Project Title: - “Language Translator”

2. Project Scope: -
Introduction:
Today, translation is more widespread and accessible than ever before.
Translation efforts can be more organised in creative ways: organizations with
larger budgets may choose to hire a translation company or independent
professional translators to handle all of their translation needs; organization
with smaller budgets, or with subject matter not familiar to many translators,
may decide to combine the services of professional translators with skills of
existing staff members, but now we are making language translator web
application which can translate over 7100 plus languages and do not require
high speed internet unlike existing language translator. You can both speak or
write to translate a particular language into target language and web
application with both write and speak translated text.

Objective:
The primary objective of this project is to develop language translator
using python that can translate text and speech from one language to
another. The project aims to provide a reliable and efficient solution for
individuals who have language barriers when communicating with people
who speak different languages. Our language translator web application
can be used while travelling abroad or learning new languages.
Features:
Following are some elements of the Language Translator:

1. Easy language translation in almost all language

2. Can be used by Blind person.


3. Can be used to learn new languages

4. Can be used on any platform.

Technology stack:
The following technologies will be used in the development of the Real Time
Language translator:

Programming languages: Python

Frameworks and libraries: Flask

Deliverables:
The following deliverables will be provided at the end of the project:

Language Translator: A fully functional language translator web application


which can translate 7100 plus languages in real time.

Evaluation metrics: A report on the evaluation metrics of the real time


language translator.

User interface: A user interfaces for the language translator system that allows
users to interact with the system and translate.
Timeline:
The project is expected to be completed within a timeframe of 6 months,
which will include the following phases:

Requirements gathering and design - 1 month


Development and testing - 4 months
Evaluation and refinement - 1 month

Conclusion:
In conclusion, I think that translation is necessary, or rather, indispensable, to
communicate and bring a concept closer to people who belong to different
cultural realities. An important element for me is taking into account that
every communicative act has a communicative residue; a concept, word or
expression that seems to make our translation come to a standstill and to
make it impossible to continue. So it is essential to have the ability or skill to
see which parts of the message could be misunderstood and which tools
could be used to compensate for this residue.

3. Requirements: -
Hardware Requirements
1. CPU: For quicker execution, a multi-core processor with a high clock speed
is advised but minimum requirement is Intel®CoreTM i3-9750H
CPU@2.6GHz or above..

2. RAM: 4GB RAM or above.

3. Storage: For quicker execution and speech, solid-state drives (SSD) are
favored over hard disc drives (HDD), which can considerably boost the
performance of language translator.

4. Network: A high-speed internet connection is required for


language translation and for taking speech as input and speaking
the output.
Software Requirements
We will be using Python for backend development of project and Flask for web
integration and development of project on Windows 11.
Pycharm will be used to write python code.
Visual Studio Code will be used for flask.
