The role requires knowledge and understanding of the xxxxx market requirements, familiarity with XXXXX, and the ability to demonstrate how the system meets customer needs. An understanding of the links enabling joint working and integration with xxxxx and other partners and agencies is also necessary, and from that the requirements of XXXXX functionality. The post-holder will also act as a member of the UK Management Team, contributing to the development of the business, organisation, marketgrowth and customer support. The main responsibilities cover four broad areas. The first area is in marketing, which entails assisting in the production and distribution of marketing material and communicating general company information and capabilities. The second involves supporting pre-sales activities through understanding customer business and operations, so as to enable the provision of detailed product information and the ways in which it meets a customer's needs. This often includes demonstrating those features before a sale. It also involves responding to a PQQ (pre-qualification questionnaire) and then, if short listed, replying to a more detailed ITT (information to tender) document. The second area is in sales, which involves negotiating a commercial agreement to the benefit of both customer and supplier. Customer Account Management, which follows the sale, may include relationship management, implementation management and supporting the resolution of faults and problems, or maximising the use of software features, as well as advising on appropriate user training.
Detailed Responsibilities
The role requires significant interaction with clients, which may be face-toface or over the telephone. Typical activities include:
applying XXXXX product knowledge to meet those needs; 2. Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes; 3. Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls; 4. Cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services and generate new business leads and arrange meetings; 5. Identifying opportunities for further sales and new areas for development through detailed research of the xxxxx markets; 6. Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the XXXXX software, articulately and confidently; 7. Marketing and promoting XXXXX by writing and designing sales literature and through attending industry events; 8. Developing effective sales plans utilising sales methodology; 9. Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of XXXXX, both before and after the sale; 10. Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts, such as xxxxx; 11. Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets; 12. Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades; 13. At all times provide an excellent customer service in all areas of activity with the customers staff. In areas where issues cant be immediately resolved, taking responsibility to ensure they are communicated effectively to other XXXXX staff to ensure resolution or information is channelled back to the customer; 14. Responding to Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Invitation To Tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature; 15. Supervising the overall bid management process for all business development activities, keeping the management team informed of all current business development activities to an agreed period of time; 16. Managing your own diary in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals, and sharing our calendar in order to facilitate team working; 17. Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of constantly changing legislation and best practice; 18. Being creative and proactive in the development and performance of the sales process to ensure the Company maintains its competitive edge;

From time to time contribute to other areas of the business for the benefit of both the business and the customer base as required.
