About DRIEMS
Dhaneswar Rath Institute of Engineering & Management Studies (DRIEMS) owes its existence to the vision of Late Dhaneswar Rath after whom the Institution is named. It was established in the year 1999 by the dedicated, service minded philanthropists who had the missionary zeal of uplifting the new generation and equipping them as skilled technocrats to rebuild the society in A modern scientific way. The Institute initially started with five disciplines viz., Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering,Information Technology & Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering but now it offers two new courses with the addition of Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering.

DRIEMS is spread over 160 acres of lush green campus. DRIEMS offers a four-year (8 Semesters) Degree program in Engineering leading to the award of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.). The total intake of students being 570 per academic year. All programs are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT).It offer M-Tech,MBA,PGDM also.

The Institution has achieved tremendous growth during a short span of seven years. The intake capacity has increased from 180 to 570. The required infrastructure has been augmented as per the norms. The DRIEMS is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified , NAAC & NBA accredited Institutions.

DRIEMS- A Milestone
1999 DRIEMS established at Cuttack..B-Tech (CS,EEE ETC ) branch started DRIEMS Added B-Tech IT to its course. DRIEMS moves to its Impressive New campus of 160 Acres at Tangi, Cuttack B-Tech AE & I branch added. DRIEMS Polytechnic started DRIEMS started postgraduate program in management (MBA) DRIEMS ITC started DRIEMS got Accreditation by NBA. M-TECH(CS,ETC) Added to DRIEMS M-Tech(Power System) & B-Tech(Civil, Mechanical) added to DRIEMS.PGDM started. M-Tech (Power Electronics, VLSI) started DRIEMS got NACC certification

Dr. Amiya Kumar Rath is an eminent scholar with enormous experience in Teaching, Research, and Administration. He obtained his B.E Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Marathwade University (1990), MBA in Systems Management from Shivaji University (1993), M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engg. from Utkal Univeristy (2001) and Ph.D from Utkal University (2005) for the remarkable work in the field of Embedded System. He has worked in several positions in College of Engineering, Osmanbad, Orissa Engineering College (OEC), Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Krupajal Engineering College (KEC), Bhubaneswar. He was the Director (Academics and Research) as well as professor of Computer Science and Engg. in College of Engineer Bhubaneswar(CEB) from 2007 to 2011. He has published 45 research level papers in national and international journals and 4 books in different subjects of Computer Science and Engg.. One Ph.D, 25 M.Tech. and several B.Tech scholars have been awarded degrees under his able guidance.

Besides all these academic activities, Dr. Rath is engaged in several organizational work in the capacity of president of M.Tech Alumni Association, Secretary, Odisha Information Technology Society, Member, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, Member in BPUT Syllabus Committee, ISTE and CSI Institute of Engineers. He has been elevated to the status of Master Trainer, Wipro Mission 10X and has been elected as Member, Board of Management, BPUT. His dedication to the growth of DRIEMS Degree Wing is commendable.

The young institution offers a holistic approach to technical education, personality development and social skills. The challenge today, is to relate ourselves to the socio-economic cultural and educational world and to think globally. DRIEMS understands this responsibility and works to create a talent pool of manpower to tackle the emerging issues confronting the 21st century.
