    agriculture who discovered TEA.

    (365 of medicinal plants over the course of
    his life until he turned green and died from
    toxic overdoses).
    Tang Dynasty (618 AD - 906 AD) -
    tea became China's national drink and
    the word ch'a was used to describe the
    Tea.
    Bodhidharma, founder of Zen
    Buddhism, spread the cultivation
    and tea drinking in China, Japan
    and India.
    850 AD, Arabs brought tea to Europe via the
    Venetians circa 1559. However, it is the Portuguese
    and Dutch who claim the credit bringing tea and
    tea drinking to Europe.
    1515, the Portuguese opened up
    the sea routes to China. Jesuit
    priests traveling on the ships
    brought the tea drinking habit back
    to Portugal.
    1610, the Dutch merchants enter
    the trade. A regular shipment of
    tea to ports in France, Holland and
    the Baltic coast was set up. England
    entered the trade via the East India
    Company, or the John
    Company as it was known,
    in the mid To late
    17th Century.

    Russian Immigrant & trader,
    started trading with the mountain
    people and sell it to Europeans.
    Became the first exporter of
    Rooibos Tea.
    1968 Annique Theron, fortunately
    stumbled on Rooibos Tea to calm down and
    relieve her baby (14 month old) of colic,
    vomiting and insomnia.
    1968 stumbled on Rooibos Tea to relieve her babys colic
    pain and allergies. She mixed warm Rooibos Tea to her babys
    milk.
    Tested it to the babies of 18 mothers who are all suffering
    from a variety of food allergies.
    1970 she published her study and findings
    in her book entitled: Allergies: An Amazing
    Discovery.
    1975 launched Annique Rooibos Skin
    Care products.
