HISTORY

The name of the company, Warner Bros. Pictures, originates from the
four original Warner brothers who started to acquire movie theatres in
1903.

The names of the brothers are:

In 1917, they began to produce their own films and create a


production headquarters in Hollywood, California.

HISTORY

Warner Bros. Cartoons was one of the most widely successful


animation studios in American history.

This subsidiary was responsible for commonly known television shows


such as:

Looney Toons

Bugs Bunny

They are also responsible for creating some of the most well known
cartoon characters known across the globe. Some of these include but
are not limited to:

Tweety

Wile E. Coyote

MODERN HISTORY

Since Warner Bros. Cartoons, Warner Bros. has expanded and now
is/owns the Warner Bros. network, which is aimed at pre-teens and
teenagers across the United States.

Sone of the productions included in this network include:

One Tree Hill

Smallville

In 2006, Warner Bros. decided to shut down this independent network


and combine it with CBS Paramount Television to create a network
known as the CW Television Network.
