    Introduction
     Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) is the process
    by which individuals inside organizations pursue
    opportunities without regard to the resources they
    currently control.
     Bootstrapping is the art of promoting and
    developing a business by harnessing one’s own
    resources – without reliance on outside help
    What is Jugaad ??

     The skill of “inventing” resources from available


    materials
     This resource management can be portrayed as
    “resourcing”: a complex, dynamic and exploratory
    process, characterized by resource mutability in a
    given context
    Resource Fungibility
     Resource fungibility stands for the amenability of a
    resource to diverse applications—to provide a
    range of services
     Use, reuse, recycle, never throw away
     Careful Adoption instead of perceived Slow
    Change

    Resource Flexibility
    Economies of Scope
     These sprout from economies from sharing given –
    often tangible assets
     This entails mere extension or stretch of any of the
    various resources in isolation, and thus offer a quite
    static interpretation of synergy
    Corporate Coherence
     Corporate capacity to generate and exploit
    complementarities among diverse stocks
     To integrate existing knowledge, generate new
    knowledge, and successfully exploit this new
    knowledge, thus striking a blend of adaptive
    learning and generative learning

    Co-ordination Flexibility
    Economies of Diversity
     The utilization of a capability developed through the
    experience of building strategic assets in existing
    businesses to create a new asset in a new business
    called “asset creation”
     'asset fission‘; which is the expansion of a
    corporation's existing pool of capabilities through
    related diversification
     Or, it may 'simply' be a matter of mixing technologies
    that are already under the control of the business in
    new ways
    Jugaad
     To be able to innovate, leapfrog, manage creatively
    and make additional returns on investments within
    a framework of scarcity.
     With presence of mind, thinking ‘on the feet’ and
    effective actions, ‘jugaad’ can only be undertaken
    by an innovative workforce.
    Bricolage
     “making do with what is at hand”
     instrumental in resource construction and
    combination of resources for new purposes
     Operationally the same as Jugaad
    Jugaad in India

     Amphibian Bicycle
     Spirit of jugaad / bricolage and the concept of
    resource fungibility go together
     They tend to achieve economies of scope in view
    of the savings associated with such a stretch of
    resources
    Strategic Flexibility
     The ability to change or stretch a firm’s strategic
    uses of resources and capabilities
     Or to exercise their potential fungibility to
    maximize the value extracted from them
     Strategic flexibility is captured in the concept of
    dynamic capabilities as well
