 Kitwe’s road network has led to heavy tonnage which has brought
about negative impacts on the design life of roads and safety.
SCOPE OF STUDY

 The extent of our project research is focused on

specific roads in Kitwe.
 The project seeks to cover specific or main road
users.
STUDY AREA
PROBLEM STATEMENT

 Ithas been observed that roads in kitwe

accidents reported from various
sections/spots in Nkana East
JUSTIFICATIONS
 Causes of road traffic accidents can be
established by systematically carrying out a study
in Nkana east, city of Kitwe.
 A proper investigation of the causes of accidents
will allow for improved preventive measures in
terms of control and design considerations

only be established after carrying out a detailed
statistical analysis carried out at known or
identified critical locations.
