    Francisca Reyes- Aquino
     Born: March 9,
    1899 Died:
    November 21, 1983
     She was a Filipino folk
    dancer and academic
    noted for her research on
    Philippine Folk dance.
     She published a thesis in
    1926 entitled Philippine
    Folk dance and games.

    Leonor Orosa –Goquingco
     Born : July 24, 1917
    Died: July 15, 2005
     She was known as a
    trailblazer, and the
    mother of Philippine
    Theater dance.
     Leonor was the only
    dancer sent on the first
    cultural mission to
    Japan.
    Ramon Arevalo Obosan
     Born: June 16, 1938
    Died: December 21 2006
     Ramon is known in
    promoting the unique and
    graceful dances of the
    Philippines via performances
    here and around the world.
    He founded the Ramon
    Obosan Folkloric Group in
    1971.

    Alice Garcia Reyes
     Born: October 14, 1942 Died.
     December 21
     Best-known as she is popularize
    the contemporary dance for her
    ballet Philipines .
     She staged the first modern
    dance concert at CCP .
     She is best known for her Rama
    Hari cinderella and all nuanced
    with Filipino nculture and
    gesture grace..

    Lucrecia Reyes Urtula
     Born; June 29, 1929 Born:
    August 24, 1999
     Urtula was the founding
    dance director of Bayanihan
    Philippine Folk Dance
    Company.
     She adopted indigenous dance
    traditions to the exactions of
    the modern stage and
    performance of her works.
    Among of her Ethnic Dance
     Singkil – A bayanihan signature number
    based on maranao epic poem.
     Vinta- a dance honoring Filipino sailing
    Prowess.
     Tagabili – A tale of tribal conflict.
     Pagdiwata – a four day harvest festival
    condensed into six –minute spectacle.
     5. Salidsid –a mountain wedding dance.
