Starting AutoCAD
Click the AutoCAD icon to load from the
Program Manager
To create a new file from the following four
options :-
i. To open a drawing
A file can be opened from the existing files
available in the folder
ii. Start from Scratch
A drawing file will open with the default setting

Any command can be repeated simply by
pressing
• Enter Key
• Space Bar
Canceling command
- By pressing ESC key

- By pressing CTRL C

Last command will be undone
Oops Command
It will undo the most recent command

REDO Command
Relative Coordinates
Use relative x,y,z coordinates when we know the
position of a point in relation to the previous point.
For example to locate a point relative to 10,20,0
precede the next coordinate with the “@” symbol.
Command : Line
From point : Enter 10,20,0
From point : Enter @25, 45,0

Polar Coordinates
These represents an angular distance from the last point
entered.
