The document summarizes deforestation trends between 2008-2012 in three forest reserves - Gugusan Hijau, Rafflesia Valley, and Meranti. It shows that Gugusan Hijau had the largest total deforested area, while Rafflesia Valley had the smallest. Deforestation levels fluctuated over the years for each reserve. The main reasons cited for deforestation across all reserves were illegal logging and indiscriminate cultivation.

Deforestation in Three Different Forest
The figure 1 shows the size of the areas of deforestation in three
different forest reserves between 2008 and 2012 while the table 1 shows the reasons cited for deforestation. Generally, it can be said that the size of the areas of deforestation in the three different reserves between 2008 and 2012 influenced by the reasons cited for deforestation.
In 2011, Gugusan Hijau is the highest size of the areas of
deforestation which is 58000 hectares while in 2009 Gugusan Hijau is the lower with 25000 hectares. The reason cited for deforestation Gugusan Hijau are illegal logging, erosion, indiscriminate cultivation and illegal settlements. In 2009, rafflesia Valley became higher size of the areas of deforestation which is 38000 hectares and fall down in 2012 which is only 15000 hectares of deforestation. Rafflesia valley is affected by illegal logging, lack of rain and indiscriminate cultivation.
The reasons for deforestation of Meranti are illegal logging, lack of
rain, erosion, indiscriminate cultivation and illegal settlements and ini 2012, 44000 hectares of deforestation and it is the higher than 2008 only 15000 hectares.
In conclusion , the size of the areas of deforestation in three
different forest reserves between 2008 and 2012 correspond to the reasons cited for deforestation. Script 1 E
Size of the Areas of Deforestation in Three Forest Reserves and Their
Reasons The bar chart shows three different forest reserves of size of the areas of deforestation between 2008 and 2012. The table provides information on the reasons of deforestation. The trend indicates that Gugusan hijau had recorded the biggest areas of deforestation and illegal logging and indiscriminate cultivation was the main reasons. Gugusan Hijau was the bigeest area with 44000 hectres compared to Rafflesia valley was the second highest with 38000 while Meranti was the lowest with 15000. However this changed in 2009, Rafflesia Valley recorded the highest 32000 while Gugusan Hijau dripped to second highest with 25000 but Meranti remain the least with 20000 in both 2011 and 2012, Gugusan Hijau recorded major area with 58000 and 48000 each compared with Rafflesia Valley was the lowest 18000 and 15000 respectively, while Meranti had increased the area from 36000 to 44000. Gugusan Hijau has recorded the total area 210000 was the highest with the reasons of all except lack of rain compared with Rafflesia Valley was the least with 151000 with all the reasons but excluded erosion and illegal settlements.
In conclusion, illegal logging and indiscriminate
cultivation was the popular reason and Gugusan Hijau was the dominant area. Script 1 I
Deforestation in Forest Reserves between 2008 and
2012 and Reason for Deforestation Figure 1 shows the sizes of deforested areas in three different forest reserves between 2008 and 2012 while Table 1 depicts the 5 reasons cited for deforestation in the reserves. Generally, the three forest reserves had varying sized of deforested areas and the reasons cited for deforestation of these reserves are similar. Between 2008 and 2012, Gugusan Hijau had the largest deforested area, totaling 21000 hectares compared to Rafflesia Valley which had the smallest 131000 hectares while Meranti had the second largest deforested areas with 145000 hectares although the most number of reasons (5) was cited for deforestation in Meranti, namely , illegal logging, lack of rain, erosion, indiscriminate cultivation and illegal settlements. There was one less reason cited to have caused deforestation in Gugusan Hijau – lack of rain. Next, the larges individual deforestated areas was 58000 in Gugusan Hijau in 2011, while the smallest individual deforested areas were found in Rafflesia Valley in 2012 and in Meranti in 2008 – 15000 hectares each. Meanwhile, erosion and illegal settlements were the only 2 reasons not cited as the cause of deforestation in Rafflesia Valley. In conclusion, illegal logging and indiscriminate cultivation are the two mos tcommon reason cited for deforestation for all the forest reserves. Add a Slide Title - 4 Add a Slide Title - 5
