Extremely limited knowledge. Uncertain temperament. Initiating role. Her love for her daughters. Catherine Catherine is an unimportant character. She is a weak character, having little independence of outlook. She has been introduced un the story merely to show that the daughter of the Binnette’s were a motley group. Somewhere strong minded while other were weak. Some were intellectually sound, while others were feeble in mind. Catherine may well be contrasted with Elizabeth. In the novel we always find Catherine sitting beside her mother without either disturbing her or creating any problems for her. Elizabeth and Jane engaged most of there parents attention. Whenever MR. Benneth was in trouble she called her kitty to help her. Lady Catherine De Bourgh Lady Catherine has been introduced in Pride and Prejudice through collins. The bennet’s of long bourn heard About lady Catherin from callins first of all. She was in a possession of a large estate in Hunsford. It has vey bounty which endowed the rectory of the Paris of Hunsford on Callins. There is yet another aspect of lady Catherin’s personality revealed to us in a subsequent chapter. Darcy happened to be lady Catherin’s nephew. When Elizabeth refused to promise that she would not entertain the idea of marrying Darcy. Lady catherin’s flew into rage. She called elizabeth head strong and selfish. In this way Lady Catherin’s ultimately plays an important role in this story. Charlotte Lucas Charlotte Lucas was a daughter of Sir william Lucas living neighborhood of Long Bourn. There was a long standing between the family of Bennet’s and Lucases. Charlotte came into prominence with the apperence of callins in the scene. At first callins proposed to Elizabeth. But the offer was decline by the latter. Thereafter callin diverted himself to Lucas Ladge and began to court Charlotte. When Charlotte was engaged to callins she came to Long Bourn to tell Elizabeth about it. There was a dialogue by Charlotte to Elizabeth that “Not all of us can afford to be romantic.” Sir William Locus Sir William Lucas is a friend and neighbor of the Bennet family. He is pleasant but not overly deep or intellectual. He is obsessed with having been granted knighthood. He is father to Charlotte and Maria Lucas. Sir William Lucas is an irresponsible parent. Sir William Lucas does not belong to the 'landed gentry' which is the upper class. Like Bingley and Mr.Gardiner he belongs to the 'trading class. Sir William's age is not known he is married to Lady Lucas and have three to five children. Marry Bennet Occupies a comparatively unimportant place in novel. Daughter of Mr. Bennet. Primary concern in life was reading. A girl without mch intelligence and intellectual quality. She could not understand many things written in book. She is un romantic. Miss Bingley One of the minor character. Sister of Bingley. She was young lady of lively disposition. Very friendly with Elizabeth in the begning. Very free with Darcy. Played an important role in separating Bingley from Jane. Miss Bingley have been Depicted in the novel as prejudice. Collins Lydia
