Amaravathi was born after redefinition of state boundaries between AP & newly created State of Telangana.
Amaravathi is India’s 1st greenfield smart city spread over 217sq Km on the banks of river Krishna.
Key Highlights - Swanky Aesthetics, State of the Art Infrastructure, Modern Waste Management, Biometric Security,
51% of Green Spaces, 10% of Water Bodies, Ecological Balance, Integrated Public Transport, Energy Efficiency etc.
Total investment in Amravathi Smart City is estimated to be around 6 B USD. L&T has bagged orders worth 300 M
USD from AP Govt. to build roads, bridges, storm water drains, sewerage & utility ducts for power and ICT.
Amravathi will be populated & functional only by 2024 which is completion of 2nd phase. However the 3rd / final
phase would get completed by 2029.
These state-of-the-art features can not only help Amaravathi become a world-class capital, they may well become a
template for India’s 100 smart cities project.
Amravathi Smart City - Conceptualization
Heat Dissipation - Conventional uPVC pipes are rigid & succumb to failure due
to cable heat dissipation & rigidity of polymer. HDPE has viscoelastic material to
take heavy live and dead soil load & has better heat resistance to heat
dissipation
Reduces Co-efficient of Friction – Unique RIB Design in the inside layer of the
duct reduces the surface area of contact & helps in reducing COF.
Silicore Ensures Longer Installation Lengths - The inner layer of the duct is of
Silicore that reduces dynamic COF between HT/ LT cables & facilitates longer
installation lengths.
Why Power Ducts?
Cost Reduction by 40% - The overall cost reduction by using HDPE Duct Utility
Corridor instead of RCC Utility Corridor is 40%.
Easy Maintenance - COF does not change with time, hence easy maintenance of
cables
