MANUFACTURING
PROCESS
Manufacturing of bricks consists of following 4
steps or operation :
1. Preparation of brick
2. Moulding of bricks
3. Air drying of brick
4. Burning of bricks
ADVANTAGES
Economical (raw material is easily
available)
Hard and durable
Very low maintenance cost is required
.
Highly fire resistant
Produces less environment pollution
during manufacturing process
Reusable and recyclable
DISADVANTAGES
Time consuming construction
Very less tensile strength
Rough surfaces of bricks may cause mold
growth if not properly cleaned
Cleaning brick surfaces is a hard job cannot
be used in high seismic zones.
APPLICATION
Construction of walls of any size .
Construction of floors.
Construction of arches and cornices
Construction of brick retaining wall
Making Khoa(broken bricks of required
size)to use as an aggregate in concrete
Manufacture of surki( powered bricks) to be
used in lime plaster and lime concrete
