surrounded by a large
body of water.
Plains
• A flat area on Earth’s
surface.
Valleys
• A lowland area
between higher land
like mountains.
Plateaus

• A flat area higher than


the land around it.
Gulfs
• A big body of water
surrounded by a land
area almost
completely.
Rivers
• A moving body of
water.
Bays
A body of water
partially enclosed by
land but with a wide
mouth, affording
access to the sea.
A large inland body of
Lakes fresh water or salt
water.
