Business Offering and Justification
There are so many convenience store around the world. This
store holds an important part in our lives. And wherever you go
convenience store can never be gone.
So to give the convenience store a newer look, the mini mart
is the best proposal. Anyone can see that all convenience store
sells food, products , toiletries or any thing that every individual
needed.
Mini mart wouldn’t be just a simple convenience store that
selling different food, toiletries, products, and etc., but at the
same time it will be like a library, a mini library.
So to sum it up, the business has a dual goal which will make
it more convenience , profitable and more appealing to the
customers.
Executive Summary
The Casa Buena Mini Mart will be a mini mart/convenience store
as well as a resting place for everyone. The customers will enjoy the
stay in the mini mart as well as they can enjoy the food, toiletries,
products, etc., sold or anything that are enjoyable/fun to do. It will
be build up at Brgy. Rivadavia, Narvcan, Ilocos Sur.
There are so many mini marts today. So how will the business make
profit? It will be a newer look of a mini mart because it will have a
mini library. It might be a disadvantage to other people whose in a
far distance but this business has a delivery service. It also has a
free lunch/snacks delivery for students/employees around Ilocos
Sur. Though the popularity might be in question because of the
location, it will be advertised efficiently so that the people will
know about it.
Executive Summary
Mini marts’ food, toiletries, products, and etc., are not
of a high cost, so the working capital for the business will
be estimated at its least. At the same time, the mini mart
will produce different varieties of food, toiletries, products,
and etc. So the dual purpose of the business will act as a
contingency plan if ever that the business won’t be
profitable enough especially for the store because there are
so many competitors.
To add up on the idea of the mini mart, there will also
be an additional books for the customers.
If ever that the mini mart won’t boom enough and will
suffer from loss, the building used can be changed in a
library. So this plan will never be waste.

Business Proponents
CEO
The CEO which is I, will be the
overall business operator. Though I
am not able to support it through
monetary means yet, I have the
ability to grow it through unique
ideas. I am also responsible enough
to hold a business and to produce a
product and service.
Overall Qualities for an Employee
Must be able to do his/her work properly
and comfortably.
Avoids fight with the customers or co-
workers and knows how to be patient.
Knows how to separate personal issues
while working.
Must be honest and trustworthy.
Knows how to entertain customers.
Target Customers and Main Value
Proposition
The target customers of the business is everyone.
Anyone can buy and order in CBMM because it has
only cheap selling price and it is a convenience for
everyone. For the delivery service, the target customers
are those whose far away from the area, can’t find time
to go out from their houses/places and to those who
are at school/work.
The possible customers wouldn’t be specific since
it’s a store that is for everyone. They can buy anything
they want and stay at the store as long as they want.
Target Customers and Main Value
Proposition
The business will have promos and discounts for the
customers. It will also be serving one full meal and it can
be delivered to the nearby schools for the students. There
will also be a CBMM card which will be used by the
customers to earn points and exchange them into the
CBMM’s food, products, and etc., in the future.
So this business is very well convincing and
accommodating. Since there will also be a mini library, it
can be an advantage to the students because they can
study while in a relaxing place. The money spent will be
worth it.
Market Justification (Demand and Supply)
This type of business is really hard, especially when it’s
their first time putting up a business. Nobody can tell
whether how much does the community need or want.
When it comes to the demand for the store there is no
specific number yet because of the uncertainty of possible
customers. For the supply, the assurance that we will be
able to supplement the needs and demand is big since we
will make a not-so-big business but risky. Therefore we
will be able to distinguish an estimated demand after a few
days or months from the business opening itself. We will
be able to know after it whether the people liked it or not.
Critical Factors that may Influence the Demand and Supply
1. Competitors – there are other mini marts or
convenience stores.

2. Location – maybe because the location is in a not-so-

recognizable area.
Industry Dynamics
This business can have so many competitors and
one of those are the famous convenience store which
is 7/11 and even the ordinary stores. A thing that may
also affect the business is the places near the CBMM,
including 7/11’s location. People will possibly go
there so it is a harm for the business.
As for the bargaining strategy, the store will offer
a value card for the customers to make sure that
what they are spending is worth-it.
Product Offering and Justification
For the mini mart, we will offer hot coffee
as the main menu. If the customers doesn't
want these kind of menu, there will be
other choices for them. We will also offer ice
creams, since it is everyone's favorite.
Enterprise Strategy
Some of the businessmen think that building up their
business near the main roads are the best. But a way to
conquer this idea is to put the business itself in a little bit
hide place, or a place in which is not over populated, this is
because nowadays there are so many danger that we might
get into anywhere. And staying at a quiet place is a safer one.
The place is doesn’t have a nice view but it has a fresh air
because there’s a farm in front of it and some trees beside.
Also some of the people now want to have a nice breakfast,
lunch, or dinner at a quiet and peaceful place, so this is one of
the best strategy to defeat other competitors. Eating is one of
the daily things we do, so it is much better to do it peacefully.
Enterprise Delivery System
 For the other needs of the company, it will be delivered to us by our
suppliers. We will just pay the delivery fee in order to reduce risk as well
as save time to do some work in the company. Sometimes we might think
that having things delivered is costly but at the same time we should also
think that is very risky and time consuming, instead we do other things,
we stay seated at a vehicle waiting for us to arrive at a supplier so we are
wasting time. Remember that time is gold.
 As for the processing of the foods and products, it will be done inside
the company and no other place. Things should stay confidential and
should only be at one place to stay organized and avoid
miscommunication when things are done separately.
 And finally to deliver our foods and products, we will do it everyday,
depends on the customers choice of delivery. And it will be a cash on
delivery so that it won’t have any misunderstanding or what we call
scam. This will save the effort as well as decrease the risk.
Financial Forecast
Casa Buena Mini Mart is located beside our house in
Brgy. Rivadavia. An estimated rate for the land at Brgy.
Rivadavia, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur is atleast 200 pesos per
square meter. So to sum it up, the total money needed
for a 5,000 sqm land is 1 million pesos. Next is the
building, an estimated value for the building is 1
million. Including the materials needed for the building
like equipment and furnitures let’s just say it will need
atleast 1 million. So the total money needed for the
building itself is atleast 2.5 million pesos. For the land
and building, 3.5 million is needed.
Financial Forecast
For the workers or employee of the company’s
salaries, wage and benefits, it will consume an
estimated sum of 3 million in a year. And for the
other needs of the company like payments for
different suppliers will cost at least 1.8 million. And
lastly its utility expenses will be a million pesos
and a 200,000 miscellaneous expense. All the
estimation of these working capital or operating
expenses are estimated using a one year basis.
Financial Forecast
The estimated working capital for the whole
business is approximately 9 million. With this big
amount of expenses, the return on investments must
also be big. From 9 million expenses on the first
year, the company must make profit more than this
amount to continue the cycle of the business. So the
forecasted profit from the store is at least 900,000
million a month multiplied to 12 months of the
business cycle, would be an 10.8 million gross profit.
So the forecasted net income will be 1.8 million.
Financial Forecast
On the future operations, there are risk that the estimated profit
will not be gained so in order to asses this, materials should be
checked carefully and must be of low cost but of a high quality.
The estimated value are into its highest so there are chances that
it can be lowered down.
The risks that the company might encounter are its competitors.
So one of the funding system that can be used to operate the
business is the value card. It will be bought by customers at a
certain price, and the gained money will be used as fund for the
mean time. And in order to repay this, the customers are given
points and rewards which they can use on future days. In order for
them to gain it, they need to buy from the store so it is the best
way to source out fund. It is like hitting two birds with one stone.
Environmental and Regulatory Compliance
Casa Buena Mini Mart ensures a great working place
and leisure place not only for its employees but for
everyone. So one of its mission is to provide relaxation to
the customers while eating or doing some work. To make
sure of this, the business will be organizing its waste in the
best manner so that a nice and clean place for the people
will be assured. In the same way here is a list of the
regulatory requirements that the business should comply:
• For partnerships or corporations, a certificate of registration must
be obtained from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Environmental and Regulatory
Compliance
• A homeowner's clearance is required if the business will operate within the
village or subdivision.
• The business must secure a barangay clearance and acquire a community
tax certificate (CTC).
• With complete requirements, it must secure a business license or mayor's
permit at the local government unit (municipality or city hall office).
• A business tax payer identification number (TIN) from the Bureau of
Internal Revenue (BIR) must be obtained along with an SSS number (for the
business and employees). The business should also register with Philippine
Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), and Department of Labor and
Employment (DOLE).
• Sanitary permit, a permit from the Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) and a
building permit for the business.
• Water Discharge Permit, Permit to Operate and Hazard Waste Generator ID

following years, starting up a business is a gamble so if you
chose to do so you must have a great capital. The capital is the
blood and will lead the business’ circulation.
Estimated Net Income
Income for the Beginning Year

Revenues 900,000 (12) = 10,800,000

Expenses 9,000,000
Net Income 1,800,000

As the table presents, there is a low profit from the first year of the
business, this is because of the big number of expenses. But this is only the
first year, we can say that the first year of a business is the riskiest because
it is the main start of the cycle. We cannot expect too much yet since this is
just the start. After we pass the first year, it is the time we will learn on how
to run the business better and how much it will profit in the future. The
first year is the most crucial.
Estimated Net Income
Income Per Year for the next 5 years

Revenues 900,000 (12) = 10,800,000

Expenses 7,000,000

Net Income 3,800,000

The business is aspiring three times of the profit from the

first year for the next years. This is the estimated value from the
store. The company must succeed in this for the expansion of
the business in the future and for the investors and its owners.
