WHAT IS YOGA?
YOGA MEANS TRUE SELF KNOWLEDGE

  Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word 'yuj' which means 'to
join‘ and a system of exercises for the body that involves
breath control and helps relax both your mind and body

 the aim of Yoga is Self-realization, to overcome all kinds


of sufferings leading to 'the state of liberation' or
‘freedom’. Living with freedom in all walks of life, health
and harmony shall be the main objectives of Yoga
practice."Yoga” also refers to an inner science comprising
of a variety of methods through which human beings can
realize this union and achieve mastery over their destiny.
IMPORTANCE OF YOGA
  Yoga can bring peace to mind, soul and body. 
 It improves creativity, concentration and

sharpens our memory.


 Doing yoga on the daily basis improves memory

and IQ. 
 BUILD STRENGTH - It helps to calm fluctuating

energy levels and build strong muscles.


 IMPROVE POSTURE AND FLEXIBILITY- It improves

the posture of knee joints, hip joints and thigh


bones and also helps to make a flexible body
WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Meditation is a practice where an individual


uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or
focusing the mind on a particular object,
thought, or activity -
to train attention and awareness, and achieve
a mentally clear and emotionally calm and
stable state.

HOW MEDITATION IS
DIFFERENT FROM YOGA
 Meditation is a part of Yoga, which is mostly performed
after Yoga asana practice. After you have done Yoga,
the body is filled with vibrations and to gain a stable
condition on both mind and body level, meditations are
preferred post Yoga asana sessions.
 Yoga is 'Chitta Vriti Nirodhah', promoting the unison
of body and mind and envisages wellness of human
beings both physical, mental and spiritual.
Meditation deals with mental relaxation and
concentration. Here, attention is focused on thoughts
and breathe
WHAT IS SELF MANAGEMENT
 Self-management is an internal process of
managing one's body, thoughts, intellect,
emotions and spirit.

  self-management involves four realms:


physical, mental, social, and spiritual.

meditation on regular basis ;I learnt the art of
focus through meditation only.

equanimity in my life

face became permanent.

focus again and makes me curious to learn
