    Literally Meaning:

     It is an Arabic term means “deity’’ or “god’’ .It appears in the name of the monotheistic of
    Islam as that is the god.
     Following these Ayaat reflects the all sensibleness people who called whom Al-lah.And
    there blief in them ,that they protect themselves from danger and fears.
     RESCUER: Surah YA-SEEN: And they have taken (other) gods besides Allah ,in order
    that they may be helped.(Verse :75)
     POWERFUL CONSIDER: Surah Maryam: And they choosen (other) gods besides Allah
    that they may be a power for them.(Verse : 81)
     PROTECTION FROM DISASTER: Surah Hud: We wronged them not but they did
    wrong themselves ;and their gods on they whom they call besides Allah availed them
    naught when came thy lords commands;they added to them naught save ruin.(Verse:101)
     SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY: Surah Al-Ahqal: And assuredly we have destroyed
    cities round about you and we have variously propounded our signs ,that haply they might
    returns. Then where force succoured them not those whom they had taken for gods
    besides Allah, as a means of approach? Aye !they failed them. And that was their lie, that
    which they had been fabricating.(Verse:27-28)
     BELIEVES IN OTHER GODS: Surah Al-Tawba: They have taken their priests and their
    monks for their lords bsides gods , and also the Masih son of Maryam ; whereas they were
    commanded not but to worship the one God.(Verse:31)
    ILAH

     connotation of the word ilah includes


     the capacities to fulfil the needs of others,
     to give them shelter and protection,
     to relieve their minds of distress and agitation,
     superiority, and the requisite authority and power to do all these,
     to be mysterious in some way or hidden from men's eyes,
     and the turning of men eagerly to him
    The Pre-Islamic Concept Of Ilah

     And they have taken for their ilahs others than Allah, that they may according to their
    reckoning be a source of strength to them (or that coming under their protection may
    confer security). (Quran 19 : 81)
     And they have taken others than Allah as their ilahs hoping that they might be helped
    when needed. (Quran 36:74)
