    freshest food to the table of every Sagaynon and for visitors to
    partake.
    • Enjoy fresh crabs, fish, clams, shells, squids, and sea urchins.

    DID YOU KNOW THAT...


    Squid rings are a native delicacy in Sagay City with a
    high local demand. Its Factory can be found in barangay
    Old Sagay where they cook in traditional way using
    “kawa”?
    Kinilaw na Bulaw or the Filipino version of ceviche

    • Suyac Island’s Kinilaw na bulaw - a


    local version of ceviche or raw fish
    soaked in vinegar.
    • This is not your ordinary kinilaw, as it
    has coconut milk, peanuts, crackers,
    tomatoes, onions, chives, and sugar.

    right and smothered with annatto oil.

    Ginataan Nga Ugbos Sang Balinghoy na May Banag

    • It is made with locally-harvested ingredients from the


    village of Colonia Divina.
    • The dish has banag or suso (freshwater snails) cooked in
    coconut milk (ginataan) and pounded young leaves of
    cassava (ugbos sang balinghoy) with lemongrass, string
    beans, ginger, onion, and garlic.
    • Declared as the grand winner in the nationwide
    “Pinasarap” competition of the Association of Tourism
    Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) 2020.
