Describe your personality.
• I am said to be a soft, gentle and passive person. This personality is a weakness
and a challenging for me.
• However, I have quite a lot of patience especially when dealing with students
who do not pay attention and cooperate in class. This can be shown that I am a
person who is not easy to get emotional. I prefer to reflect on myself first before
blaming or reprimanding their actions.
• I am not an angry person, and it is difficult for me to scold people who are under
me.
• I prefer to be relaxed and not be too formal at all time. However, I like to plan
things in advance because I am not a spontaneous person, but I am a systematic
person.
Describe the chosen value and challenges in
teaching it.
• The values chosen in my lesson plan are the values of tolerance and love. The value of
tolerance is the value of the willingness to tolerate, be patient, and control oneself to
avoid conflicts and disagreements for the sake of living harmoniously. While the value of
love is the sensitivity and feeling of love born from a sincere heart.
• To be honest, I feel that teaching the value of tolerance is not a challenge for me. Because
the activity plan in the class may apply the value of tolerance itself. As a facilitator in the
class, I can easily relate the value of tolerance through the activities carried out. But it is a
challenge for me in teaching the value of love. I feel that the value of love is only effective
if it is born from the student's own feelings. In the process of cultivating the value of love,
it requires a long process and it will not happen with just one learning session. It needs to
happen throughout the process of children's lives, that is by nurturing them from home to
school. This is because it is not easy for children to sincerely love strangers from their
lives, especially people who are different from themselves.
Describe the teaching aids that you will be
using and reasons for your selection.
• I will use video projection as my teaching aid in the classroom because I
believe that in teaching, teachers need to be creative in taking advantage
of all the facilities and modern technology available today.
• Teachers need to combine various ways to attract students to be involved
in teaching and learning in the classroom.
• This is also because as we already know, these students also have different
learning styles. Some of them are visual, auditory, reading/writing, and
kinesthetic. Therefore, students learn best when teaching methods and
school activities match their learning styles, strengths, and preferences.
Describe the objectives of the lesson and why
do you choose them?
• The learning objectives that are made involve all three aspects in the
learning of students, which are cognitive, psychomotor and feeling.
• These three aspects are important in teaching students about values
and morals.
• This is because in the DSKP Moral Education, the balance between
the 3 moral domains, namely moral reasoning, moral feeling and
moral action is very important in forming people with noble character
from all aspects.
Describe how would you enhance students’
questioning skills.
• I expect that there will be students who are quite passive and do not
cooperate well with the activities that will be carried out in class.
• In fact, I also expect that there are students who are not engaging in
classroom activity and show some misbehavior in class in which will
disturb the other friends to learn such as students who like to wander
in class, do not stay in their own group and so on.
Describe what kind of assessment will you
use in this lesson and give reasons.
