    Flag Ceremony

    Almighty Father,
    we raise our hearts to you
    in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are part,
    for your providence in sustaining us in our needs,
    and for your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.

    We acknowledge our sins against you and the rest of creation.

    We have not been good stewards of nature.

    We have confused your command to subdue the Earth.


    Oratio Imperata
    The environment is meant to suffer our wrongdoing,
    and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference.
    Global warming is upon us, typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, and other
    natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity.
    We turn to you our loving Father, and beg forgiveness for our sins.
    We ask that we, our loved ones and out hard earned possessions, be spared
    from the threat of calamities, natural or man-made.
    We beseech you to inspire us all to
    grow into responsible stewards of your creation,
    and generous neighbors to those in need.

    Ako ay Pilipino
    Buong katapatang nanunumpa sa watawat ng Pilipinas
    At sa Republikang kanyang sinasagisag
    Na may dangal, katarungan at kalayaan
    Na pinakikilos ng sambayanang maka-Diyos,
    Maka-kalikasan, maka-tao at maka-bansa.
    Panatang Makabayan
    Iniibig ko ang Filipinas,
    aking lupang sinilangan,
    tahanan ng aking lahi;
    kinukupkop ako at tinutulungang
    maging malakas, masipag at marangal.
    Dahil mahal ko ang Filipinas,
    diringgin ko ang payo
    ng aking magulang,
    susundin ko ang tuntunin ng paaralan,
    tutuparin ko ang tungkulin
    ng mamamayang makabayan:
    naglilingkod, nag-aaral at nagdarasal
    nang buong katapatan.
    Iaalay ko ang aking buhay,
    pangarap, pagsisikap
    sa bansang Filipinas.
    Mission
    To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based, and
    complete basic education where:
    Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment.
    Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner.
    Administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an enabling and supportive
    environment for effective learning to happen.
    Family, community, and other stakeholders are actively engaged and share responsibility for
    developing life-long learners.
    Vision
    We dream of Filipinos
    who passionately love their country
    and whose values and competencies
    enable them to realize their full potential
    and contribute meaningfully to building the nation.
    As a learner-centered public institution,
    the Department of Education
