CHALLENGES
• Dissemination of information to the farmers as illiteracy prevails – Training in technological knowhow and renewable
source of energy are the challenges in developing countries – Academia - Industria connect must be emphasized,
• Funding sources for high impact technology for the farmers – Start up firms, Innovation and incubation centers under
R&D, implementation of mapping techniques, usage of GIS and Remote sensing for farmers are necessary
• Social Entrepreneurship, Back- end Offices extending services to farmers must be encouraged
• Cross-national collaborations to be initiated through Summits and Conferences for policy makers, academic
institutions and other stakeholders in the agricultural sectors for analyzing the strategies to implement Smart Agro
• Finding out means to fulfill the three Es – Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness through IoT/ICT
CONCLUSION
Smart Agro- technology is a structural road map for the sustainability of farmers and the economical growth of the
country while combating the climate change.
