1. Food Safety- It is one of the major concerns in the food industry today.
The safety of the people from the food they eat is a responsibility of the
food service industry.
2. Food Wastage- Food waste costs a lot, but it is not only money that is
wasted. Water and farmland are also wasted. According to food experts,
reducing food waste by only 15% can provide food for more than 25
million Americans yearly.
3. Rising Supply Chain Costs- Supply chain costs not only include the
cost of supplying food but also energy and fuel, workforce, and the cost
of new technology.

4. Food Fraud- This occurs when the food suppliers don’t inform the food
business about the quality of the food, as well as its content only for the
purpose of earning more.
5. Plastic Elimination- Improper disposal of plastic is a challenge today
for many food and beverage operators. However, there are companies at
present that really showed their commitment to eliminating plastic. Some
of them are Nestle, Coca-Cola, and Unilever.
6. Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic- Businesses are working together
with regulatory bodies to gradually back up from the pandemic.

SUMMARY/CONCLUSION
Tourism and hospitality contribute greatly to the economic growth of a certain place or country at
large. Foreign tourists visit a country and spend money on food and beverage. With this matter, the food and
beverages sector need to consistently innovate to meet the changing demands of the tourist.

This study focuses on the robotic concept, molecular gastronomy, homestay, street food, restaurant
ambiance, and theme-based restaurants.

This study concluded that apart from the advantages of using robots, it is expensive, and a
personalized service experience for the guests still can’t be met. With molecular gastronomy, a ton of
experimentation is still necessary to conduct. Homestay can help the neighborhood aides especially the
ladies to earn a living. Street food can be a primary channel for transmission of diseases because of the issue
of sanitation. The ambiance and theme-based restaurants are being considered by people when they dine
into restaurants to create a memorable experience.
