Telangana state is crucial to understanding the historical
context and the struggles faced by its people. Freedom
fighters were individuals who fought for India's
independence from British rule and also advocated for

the rights and recognition of Telangana as a separate
state within the Indian Union.

Their leadership, activism, and sacrifices inspired

subsequent generations to continue the struggle for
Telangana's statehood. Even after India gained
independence in 1947, the quest for statehood persisted,
with freedom fighters turning their focus towards
addressing the specific grievances of Telangana.

Sundarayya (2010): He explained that the Telangana
movement is a movement for the creation of a separate
state, Telangana, from the state of Andhra Pradesh in

India. The movement's history involves the political and
social conditions that led to the Telangana region being
merged with Andhra State to form Andhra Pradesh. The
movement then demanded the reversal of the merger
to form a new state of Telangana.
He explained how freedom fighters played a key
role in the Telangana movement. They inspired and
motivated others to fight injustice, and made people
aware of their rights and power.
