Rfid Attendance

The document describes a proposed RFID attendance monitoring system to track student attendance in classrooms. It aims to reduce paper waste, save time and effort for tracking attendance, and provide a more systematic way to record attendance. The system would use RFID cards and tags to record student attendance along with the date and time. It would store attendance data in a secure database accessible via the internet.

ABSTRACT
The project aims to:
• Provide a convinient way of tracking attendance,
• Reduce the waste contribution in the society,
• Find alterative way to make attendance systematic
in the midst of crowded programs in a hot
atmosphere, and;
• Innovate

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

INTRODUCTION
• 21 million students enrolled as of August 25, 2023
• 44,931 public schools and 12,162 private schools
• 12.6% of male and 11.4% of female students, higher in
the younger 10-12 year old adolescents, 15.0% of male
and 10.9% female in 13-15 year old and 10% in 16-19
year old age groups became prone to heat related
accidents.
• the remaining portion will still be prone to Heat
Exhaustion, Rhabdomyolysis, Heat Syncope, Heat
Cramps and Heat Rash and other heat related illnesses
INTRODUCTION
• papers waste occupies 26% of total waste in landfills
(The World Counts)
• biodegradable produces methane gas, carbon dioxide
and any other harmful gases during their decomposing
stage
• 13 kg of paper waste (Philippines)
• changes in climate greatly affects ones productivity
• schools are forced to implement asynchronous classes to
protect the vulnerable age groups to the risks caused by
the season
INTRODUCTION

• Old method will produce massive paper waste that will

create a great impact to our country’s waste distribution
What can our project do?
• stores the data to be used in tracking the attendance of
the students
• can store a worth of a regular classroom population
including the exact date and time when the data is
entered
• provide the user’s the most eco-friendly, accurate and
convenient way of tracking attendances
• can be used per classroom, per department, o per
institution
What are the hardware and software needed?

• Arduino UNO
• WiFi Module
• OLED Display
• Breadboard
• Jumper Wires
• Google Spreadsheet
Statement of the Problem
This project aims to solve the problems concerning the
following:
• To save time and effort,
• To reduce the paper waste distribution,
• It avoid the incidents where the attendance sheets are
misplaced,
• To innovate classrooms,
• To obtain reliable attendance sheets, and;
• To have a secured database for the students’
attendances
How to solve?

• an attendance monitoring system using RFID cards and

tags will be used as a replacement to the old or traditional
way of tracking a attendance
• guaranteed to have a hundred percent reliable and
secured database that can store a whole school year
worth of attendance of the whole engineering department
• cause a more eco-friendly, more systematic way of
tracking attendance ideal of a huge crowded
Scopes and Limitation

• has a software application

• connected to WIFI network
• estimated 30 slots for the students
• Arduino UNO as the micro controller
• RFID sensor for identifying the data input
• Node MCU 8266 for connecting the device to WiFi
• RFID Attendance System doesn't have notification
• records the data written inside the RFID card
Scopes and Limitation

• RFID card contains unique sequence of codes

• RFID card reads the data
• sent into the processor
• execute the code
• equivalent value of the data will be sent to the application
as the output
• display the users exact data and time of arrival including
their Name, Program, Year and section
Scope and Limitation
• focuses on creating a new and convenient way of tracking
the attendance
• reduces the waste contribution of our institution
• has the ability to store the data through cloud storage
• store an attendance worth of a whole semester even a
whole school year
• powered by electricity and work if it is connected to the
WiFi
• can also be monitored as long the device to be used has
an installed Google Spreadsheet installed in it
Significance of the Study

• An RFID attendance system can be great solution to

overcome such challenges as it automates the student’s
attendance process and enable teacher’s to track and
monitor student’s effortlessly (Teachers)
• will help them list their attendance easily making them find
less reasons for shameful excuses (Students)
• This will help them consolidate and rate the the
performance per category they wanted to;
(sex,gender.age,group etc) (DepEd)
Significance of the Study

• helps the future researchers more innovative and more

adaptive depending on their current community status
(Future Proponents)
