Objective
The main objective of the Design and build to ZETA converter
that can effectively interface with electric vehicle hybrid energy
storage systems and the grid for vehicle-to-grid (V2G)
applications.
Introduction
The basic concept of the project is provide the power to the grid while
they are parked. The Electric vehicle can be a battery-electric vehicle,
hybrid vehicle can be connected to the grid. In order to schedule
dispatch of power, a grid operator needs to rely that enough vehicles are
parked and potentially plugged in at any minute during the day.
An average personal vehicle is on the road only 4–5% of the day, which
means that a great majority of the day the vehicles are parked.
At least 90% of personal vehicles are parked even during peak traffic
hours
