    Defination Of Amlapitta

    Amlapitta is composed
    of two words Amla+
    •Pitta.
    The augmented or
    increased Amla guna of
    pitta is known as Amlapitta.
    • The pitta which attains
    amla guna and vidagdhata
    is called as Amlapitta.

    fear, anger,
    tiseva uncomfortable bed and
    • Divaswapna, ati snana. vigil. It produces ama and

    Madhavkara classified Amlapitta in

    devided in 3 part-

    Oral medication
    Amlaki churna is highly
    beneficial for Amlapitta

    • Family : Euphorbiace
    • English name : Emblic
    Myrobalan
    • Synonyms : Amlaki, Jatifal,
    Dhatrifal, Shreefal
    • Part use : Fruits
    • Dosage : 3-6 gm

    Morphology
    A medium sized deciduous tree
    with thin grey exfoliating bark.

    • Leaves : simple, subsessile,


    distichous opposite linear
    shape.
    • Flower : greenish-yellow, in
    axillary fascicles.
    • Fruits : globose, fleshy, smooth
    with six prominent lines.
    • Seeds : single, green and

    हरीतकीसमंधात्रीफलंकिन्तुविशेषतः ।
    रक्तपित्तप्रमेहघ्नंपरंवृष्यंरसायनम्||३६||
    हन्तिवातंतदम्लत्वात्पित्तंमाधुर्यशैत्यतः|
    कफंरूक्षकषायत्वात्फलंधात्र्यास्त्रिदोषजित् ||३७||

    हरीतकयादिवर्ग
    • Amlapitta (acidity): Powder prepared from equalquantity of
    Amalaki, Shatavari, and Sharkara mixedwith equal quantity of
    honey is given with milk or ghee for amalpitta. Around 3 g of
    Amla powder or 10 mL juice with coconut water twice daily also
    gives relief inacidity
