    Varman Dynasty
    1. Established by Pushya Varman in 350 AD
    2. Kamrupa was first mentioned in the Rock Inscription of Samudra Gupta
    as a frontier kingdom and subordinate to Gupta Kingdom.
    3. 6th King Mahendra Varman assumed the title of Maharajadiraj.
    4. The dynastic line of Varman Dynasty first appear in the Dubi and
    Nidhan pur Copper Plate.
    5. Kumar Bhaskar Varman was the last and the greatest ruler of the
    Dynasty. (594-650)
    6. During the reign of Bhaskar Varman Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang
    visited kamrupa.
    7. Varman Dynasty ruled till 655.
    8. Avanti Varman was the last ruler of Varman Dynasty.
    Salastambha Dynasty
    1. According to the historians Salastambha Dynasty ruled in Assam from
    675 – 900 AD.
    2. Salastambha established the Dynasty.
    3. He was also known as Avanti Varman.
    4. Salastambha Dynasty was also known as Mlechchas means non Aryan.
    5. Capital was Hatapeswara modern Tezpur.
    6. Sri Harshadev was the greatest ruler of the Salastambha Dynasty.
    7. Tyagasimha was the last ruler of the Dynasty.
    Pala Dynasty
    1. Established by Brahmapala
    2. Three Captials
    i) Hatapeswara
    ii) Shri Durjaya
    iii) Kamarupanagara
    3. Some rulers of the dynasty Ratna Pala, Indra Pala, Harsha Pala
