    Objectives
    At the completion of this class, students will:
    1- Explain the primary importance of using
    trig ratios.
    2- Correctly identify the opposite, adjacent,
    and hypotenuse sides relative to a given angle
    in a right-angled triangle
    3- Apply trigonometric ratios to find missing
    side lengths in right-angled triangles using a
    given angle of a right-angled triangle.

    Ratios involve the
    various side lengths of
    the angles of a right-
    angled triangle.

    There are six (6)
    trigonometric lines or
    functions.
    1- Sine
    2-Cosine
    3-Tangent
    4-Cotengent
    5-Secant
    6- Cosecant
    Trig Ratios
    NB.
    Three of the names( Co-sine, Co-tangent, Co-secant) are
    formed by adding the prefix Co to the other names. This
    prefix is the short version of complementary and means
    that the ratio of any angle is equal to the co-ratio of the
    complementary angle.

    N.B. There are two short sides in a
    right-angled triangle called Opposite
    and Adjacent Sides.
    One of the easiest ways to identify the
    opposite side is to locate the reference
    angle. The opposite side is always
    across the reference angle.
