PROBLEMS FACED
• LOW UPTAKE • SEEPAGE OF WATER
TEMPERATURE IN BF-7 FROM DUST VALVE OF
DUST CATCHER.

SOLUTION:
• DECISION WAS TAKEN TO REDUCE WATER
FLOW IN UPPER ROW COOLERS
• A SEPARATE LOOP WAS CREATED IN THE
UPPER TWO ROW COOLERS.
• SMALLER DIA HOSES WERE FIXED IN THESE
LOOP.
• APPROX. 30% WATER WAS MADE TO PASS
THROUGH THESE COOLERS.

CHANGING OF MID LEVEL STACK COOLERS.
• FURNACE WAS BLOWN DOWN BELOW
TUYERE LEVEL.
• COKE RACKING WAS DONE THROUGH THE
TUYERE COOLERS.
• CONCRETING WAS DONE ABOVE THE
CAPPING MATERIAL.
