Coach Carlos Falla begins his 21st season as head coach of Lady Panthers Softball. Previously, Falla was the head coach at Webber International University, where he led the WIU Warriors to seven conference and six regional tournament appearances. Falla received the Conference Coach of the Year award in 1998, and during his tenure as head coach at WIU, Falla accumulated a record of 339 wins and 229 losses.
During Falla’s 21 years, the Lady Panthers have qualified for the FCSAA State Tournament six times, the FCSAA Division II Tournament three times, and the Regional Tournament once. Over the past 21 years, the Lady Panthers have transitioned 68 players to four-year institutions.
Coach Falla graduated from Sebring High School in 1978 and was selected as a member of the National High School All-Star Baseball Team. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College from 1978-1981 and graduated from Webber International University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Taylor Currie
Assistant Softball Coach
Coach Taylor Currie was born and raised in Sarasota, Fla. Currie attended Riverview High School where she was a four-year varsity softball player and graduated in 2019. Coach Currie received a scholarship to play at SFSC from 2019-2021. She was apart of the FCSAA All-State Team during her time at SFSC and was an Academic All American each year of her career. She was part of the FCSAA All-Suncoast Team in 2021. After graduating from SFSC with an associate degree in Business Administration magna cum laude, Currie attended both Columbus State University and Thomas University. She graduated from Thomas University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration cum laude. Currie is currently the residence life coordinator at the College.
