Memorials to two West Yorkshire police officers who were killed in the line of duty have been vandalised.

A force spokesperson said they "condemn all assaults on our officers who are working to protect communities from harm".

The Sunday Times reports that a Home Office review due to be released in redacted form has identified "serious failings" in the way Rudakubana was handled by counter-terrorism officers.

The state of emergency gives law enforcement officers extra powers to make arrests and conduct searches without warrants.

The other charges include the assault of a woman on 22 October and two charges of assaulting police officers on 26 November.
