Every UW student has been assigned an advisor and should have received an email regarding
registration for the upcoming semester. |
Students cannot register for next semester’s classes if they currently have any holds.
Before you can register, all items on this checklist must be listed with a green check
mark. Students can find the status of any holds through the Navigate app. Please note, there will be an “Advising Hold.” This hold will be cleared after students
complete their advising meeting. |
Meeting with an advisor is required to register for classes. During this meeting,
they will help find options that fit the student’s major and semester schedule. Students
who are unsure who their advisor is or can't find an email from them should contact
the appropriate advising centers. The complete list can be found in the UW Advising Directory. |
Visit the WyoRecords Portal to start the registration process. Once inside WyoRecords, click the “Registration”
tab, then choose “Register for Classes”. Once the student option is selected student,
you are ready to select your classes. |
At your designated day and time for registration (and as long as there are no holds
on the student record), select “Register for Classes” again, before searching for
desired classes with the “Find Classes,” “CRN” (Course Record Number), or “Schedule
and Options” tabs. An “Advanced Search” option is also available. Your advisor should
provide you with your day and time of registration. You can also find it on the Student
Profile page under “Registration Notices”. |
